Modpack Summary
With this modpack I aimed to create an extensive RPG survival experience. This modpack mainly focuses on exploration and combat but there are plenty of things included for people who don't favor that playstyle. There's is a LOT to do in this modpack so it'll be a long time before you get bored and have nothing new to accomplish. This modpack is more on the challenging side but you can change the difficulty with cheats if you struggle. I recommend playing on the default difficulty though as it gives the most rewarding experience. I was originally just aiming to re create Rlcraft but with more mods to make it more fun but I decided I wanted it to be its own thing so just kept some of the core Rlcraft gameplay mechanics because I like them, then added a ton of my own changes to make this modpack a unique experience. I have woven all the mods together by changing configs and recipes a TON to make them work together as good as possible, so nothing should feel out of place.

I recommend keeping brightness at 25% for the best experience.
DO NOT USE SHADERS. this modpack contains mods which use their own shaders for certain features and these tend to be completely incompatible with other shaders. this includes Optifine's internal shaders.
Using the wrong version of Optifine can cause the game to crash on startup.
Use optifine 1.12.2_HD_U_G5
ALWAYS pregenerate your world. I had a lot of weird server/tick lag the whole time I tested this modpack UNTIL I tested it on a pregenerated world. I'm not sure what was causing it and id like to fix it for good but pregenerating your world seems to get rid of it completely for the time being. I recommend pregenerating at a 100 chunk radius at least but you can probably go lower.
Tips to increase FPS:
- Use fast graphics
- Tone down smooth lighting
- Tone down particles (this can make certain features of this modpack much harder. I don't recommend disabling particles unless you have to)
- Turn render distance down to 8 (at least)
[Optifine] - Make sure "Use VBOS" is enabled. if you have this turned off it can cause big issues with dynamic lights.
[Optifine] - Turn all animations off. This can give a MASSIVE fps boost. I recommend keeping particles and potion particles enabled as having these off can make things harder.
[Optifine] - Turn maximum framerate down to VSync
Crashes I've experienced and how to (maybe) avoid them:
When picking up piranhas or swarmers the game can sometimes crash. I think this only happens when you attempt to pick them up through a block like vines or grass. Avoid this when/if you pick them up.
