Machines and Madness is a RPG modpack that allows you to feel the grind of setting up a base and progressing through the game. With mods like Tinker's Construct, Mekanism, Ars Nouveau, and Blood Magic you can spice up the way you play. These are suplemented with No Tree Punching to change the first hours of the game, and Spice of Life: Carrot Edition to make creating food more interesting. You will always spawn in a village, but if you prefer the adventuring lifestyle, Nomadic Tents has you covered with a wide array of travelling homes, backed up by Supplementaries' sleeping bags.

Your first day will be spent searching for gravel so that you can find flint to break and use for an axe and knife. Once you have these, the world is your oyster. The next step would be to set up a Seared Melter so that you can improve your ingot production.

Once you have the essentials, you can grind, fight, and explore as much as you want. There are extra dungeons and structures, mobs, and bosses to conquer across a revamped Nether and End, as well as the Twilight Forest and Bumblezone.

Note: With 300 mods and 12 datapacks included in this modpack, it is advised to give the profile as much memory as you can. The recommended maximum amount that will be healthy is 75% of your installed RAM (e.g.: 12GB if you have 16GB).
