Lost in the Deep (Blue)

An all-ocean survival modpack where you must fish, scavenge, dive, and explore a vast, dangerous underwater world with only the tools you need to survive.

Minecraft was never meant to be this wet.

There are no forests waiting beyond the horizon. No convenient plains biome where you can punch a tree, build a house, and begin the usual survival routine. In Lost in the Deep, the world is ocean. Your first problem is not deciding where to build. It is figuring out how to survive when there is nowhere to stand.

You begin with the equipment of someone who was at least supposed to survive this place: enchanted iron tools, weapons, fishing gear, a trident, and a turtle shell that gives you precious extra time beneath the surface. They are tools, not salvation. Wood has to be scavenged from wrecks. Food has to be caught. Resources lie beneath the seabed. Shelter has to be created somewhere that was never designed to support you.

And eventually, you have to go down.

The oceans of Lost in the Deep, a 51-mod modpack, are enormous, deep, and violently uneven. The seabed rises into ridges. Underwater ruins emerge from the terrain. Shipwrecks become lifelines instead of scenery and strange structures hide beneath the waves.

The water is also alive.

Fish fill the oceans alongside seals, otters, narwhals, sharks, whales, and other aquatic creatures. Fishing has been expanded into a genuine part of survival rather than something you do for five minutes beside a pond. The ocean is your wilderness, your hunting ground, your highway, and eventually your home.

Above you, the world can still be beautiful. Clouds move across an open sky. Storms roll over an endless horizon. Thunder echoes across the water while your trident can turn the rain itself into transportation. Then you dive beneath the surface, the sound changes, the light disappears, and the world above suddenly feels very far away.

Progression works differently here because many of Minecraft's ordinary assumptions no longer apply. You cannot simply walk somewhere else when you need another resource. You have to salvage, fish, mine, explore, and improvise. A shipwreck full of planks can matter as much as a chest full of treasure. A patch of stone beneath the seabed can become the beginning of an entire base. Every resource you find gives you another way to make this impossible world livable. Build a platform over the waves, carve a home into the seafloor and turn an underwater ruin into a fortress. Construct glass tunnels through the ocean, establish a deep-sea base beside a trench, or create an artificial island where there was never supposed to be land at all.

The ocean doesn't tell you how you're supposed to live in it. That's your problem.
