this offers..
- a variety of mods that completely revamp minecraft and how it's played
- an rpg like game in the form of minecraft, endless fun (until you run out of bosses)
- constant updates and changes to the pack
- easy to make servers via the "Essential" mod
if you ever get the chance, I really recommend playing the modpack the experience you'll receive playing is truly one of a kind (or not, who knows), and met for average players (since I like playing it too) rather than met for developers
