YOU NEED TO USE A FORGE VERSION THAT IS FOR 1.16.5 AND IT ALSO NEEDS TO BE forge-36.2.8 AT MINIMUM.

(The client-side mods that you can keep but also delete are: Xaeros_Minimap_21.18.0_Forge_1.16.5.jar and

XaerosWorldMap_1.17.2.1_Forge_1.16.5.jar, therefore if you delete them, you should delete their 3 config files on the config folder).
