Isola
Isola is a Forge modpack built around Create, assembled as the client pack for the Isola community server.

The pack ships Create and its dependencies, configured to match the server. Additional mods are added over time based on server community requests.
Create
Create replaces recipe-based automation with rotational power. Force is generated by windmills, water wheels or steam engines and transmitted through shafts, gearboxes and belts placed in the world. Machines occupy physical space and their state is visible: a stalled shaft, a jammed belt, or a full output buffer can be located by inspection.
Typical progression:
- Hand crank driving a millstone — flour, then bread, as a multi-step process rather than a single recipe.
- Water wheel driving crushing wheels — ore doubling as a throughput problem rather than an unlocked recipe.
- Mechanical crafters — automated assembly of multi-component items.
- Contraptions — piston and chassis assemblies that harvest or move blocks in bulk.
- Trains — track, signals and stations for moving items between distant locations.
Output scales with machine design, not with tier progression. Ponder, Create's in-game documentation system, animates the function of each block on demand.
Server
The pack is the client for the Isola community server, which is whitelisted. Server-side systems handle land claims, settlements, chat and permissions; none of these require client-side mods. The server is optional.
