I figured out why biomes are borked. RoadRunner adjusts the generation procedure, and applies that adjustment retroactively.  I am not removing it, because I found it greatly improved the overall experience.  Old worlds may suffer, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.  If you have issues, you are more than welcome to remove RoadRunner, as it shouldn't have any adverse effects.
