Let The Hunger In is a dark, atmospheric 1.12.2 survival horror modpack built around the terrifying evolution of parasitic life and the fall of civilization. Designed for players who crave tension, decay, and immersive storytelling through gameplay, this pack places you in a crumbling world consumed by an ancient hunger.
The core of the experience is driven by the infamous Scape and Run: Parasites and the lesser-known but equally terrifying Cotesia glomerata. These mods introduce dynamic, evolving monsters that adapt, infest, and overwhelm — no safe place lasts forever. Parasites mutate and spread across the world, turning peaceful zones into deadly bio-nightmares.
The world itself is shattered: you'll spawn in the haunting remnants of The Lost Cities, an abandoned urban sprawl reclaimed by nature and infection. Tread carefully through collapsed subways, flooded skyscrapers, and parasite-riddled alleyways. - beta
Combat and survival are core to staying alive. You’ll use Spartan Weaponry and Spartan Parasites, crafting deadly swords, spears, and warhammers to fight off the waves. Bolster your weapons with powerful enchantments from Apotheosis and Enchantment Descriptions, giving you an edge against the grotesque creatures hunting you down.
To keep things fair yet challenging, Lycanite’s Mobs and Epic Siege Mod have been heavily nerfed and rebalanced — dangerous, yes, but not impossible. Survive the night, explore by day, and never drop your guard.
With a carefully selected suite of quality-of-life mods like AppleSkin, Just Enough Items (JEI), Inventory Tweaks, and Controlling, the gameplay remains smooth and accessible without ruining immersion.
Customization runs deep, too: the Custom Main Menu mod gives you a fully reimagined title screen — a ruined panorama, infected logo, and haunting ambiance. Resource Loader ensures you get the visuals just right. - this feature is right now disabled

Let The Hunger In isn’t just another adventure. It’s a slow, creeping nightmare with one question at its core:
How long can you hold out before you submit to the hunger?
