Legends of the Departed

Legends of the Departed is a multi/singleplayer 1.12.2 modpack that focuses around the huge exploration mod Advent of Ascension (AoA). It is intended to be a spiritual successor/updated spin-off of 1.7.10's FTB Departed with a personal twist. As such this modpack features staple magic mods such as Thaumcraft and Botania but also contains RPG mods such as Millenaire and Ancient Warfare 2, so there are a fair amount of playstyles and mods to choose from.
Description:
The world you once knew is no more. What was once a world of harmony is now a place of chaos. Interdimensional horrors lurk at every corner. You're horribly outnumbered, they don't go away in daytime, and will stop at nothing to wipe out humanity from the overworld! Cyclopses, Sasquatches and Goblins are but few of the scores of new fiends that you will encounter just in the overworld! Do you choose to simply survive the onslaught, or do you take up arms and fight back, using their infernal weapons and portals against them, banishing them back to the dimensions from whence they came? - If you choose to fight back you have an arsenal at your disposal to defend yourself; Will you craft powerful wands, spells and armor using your eldritch knowledge from another age? (Thaumcraft)
- Perhaps you are destined to wield the mighty relics of the Aesir themselves, using botanical energy to power your magic?(Botania)
- Or will you look to science and technology to ensure your survival by researching new weapons, using generators to automate your tasks, and training soldiers to defend your life in this harsh world? (Ancient Warfare 2)

It is not intended to be a heavy pack in general, but as it is in development I may add or remove mods as I see fit. For now I only recommend my friends use this pack for our server but if you're just a minecrafter up for something new then feel free to try it out as well.
