Summary
Start in a peculiar platform with no access to the usual skyblock suspects (no vanilla trees, no vanilla dirt, no vanilla stone, no water, no lava) and scavenge your surroundings to progress. Puching trees is highly ineffective and will only cause you harm.
You'll have your understanding of Ars Noveau, Create, and even a bit of Vanilla put to the test to progress. The different Ars Noveau saplings (yellow, purple, green, blue, red) will slowly be unlocked along the way as you follow the questline and will serve as gates for different phases (early magic, unlocking gold/iron, initial create setups, diamond/emeralds, and finally chromatic alloys). You might say that in this world resources kind of grow in trees.
There are multiple paths to progress at many points (to name a few: how to get clay, how to get dirt, how to get iron).
Main Features:
- Skyblock with pure void overworld/nether/end (other than the starting platform)
- 100% completable in peaceful, mobs don't even spawn naturally (custom mob spawning is available though if you prefer to work with mob farms)
- Quest based progression using FTB Quests
- Over 1000 custom recipes
- Early game magic phase highly focused on Ars Noveau
- Mid/Late game heavily focused on Create
- Resource generation based on Create ("decorative" blocks crushing and ore washing) and Addons (sifter, extruder)
- Most vanilla/create recipees cannot be crafted by hand and require assembly lines or costly magic enchanting/ritual setups
- Full shader support via Oculus

- Storage: Sophisticated storage/backpacks, TOM's simple storage, Integrated Dynamics terminals, Functional Storage (no digital storage)
- Occultism offers an alternative progression path at times, and it is mostly available (though 100% optional)
- Tools/Movement: Ars Noveau, Ars Omega, Ars Elemental are used for mining, harvesting, flying, healing, etc
