LaBestia Modpack

Hard but forgiving modpack, with lots of rewards, for a challenge off course... Not intended for singleplayer use.

Important: ISSUE WITH JEI, E key closes JEI interface, use vanilla search bar to copy E (or in creative mode search box), with ctrl+c, then paste with ctrl+V in JEI bar. I already asked Modern Debugify mod dev for a solution to this, it is related to a fix from this mod to MC-147605, which visually bugs search boxes, repeating cursors

 

 

A Forge 1.18.2 survival modpack primarily developed for a private server, which searches an enriched experience of the game with a vanilla feeling, enhanced mob variation and difficulty.

Mods were selected to be used with the least possible configs, this is meant so that mods have minimal incompatibilty. As a rule, client side is bound to have up to 200 mods for keeping it as lightweigth as possible (for this size), so no mod request sorry, it is full.

Pack general information

  • Tested with Forge <small>1.18.2-40.2.10</small>
  • Server-side: ~ 360 MB (~250 mods and ~16 datapacks)
  • Client-side: ~ 330 MB (les than or equal to 200 mods) and 4 optional resourcepacks :o

 

Custom datapacks information

Includes a variety of custom datapacks to configure village placement and other tweaks (side effect of having too many biomes), serene seasons (allowed crops per season), mobspropertiesrandomness (many new variations of vanilla mobs), WDA structure set (when dungeons arise structure separation pack) and also nomorelogpunch pack (in combination with crafttweaker and flint tools, trees no longer drop wood logs without an axe). LaBestia got your back.

Always prefer the latest ver.

Server-side datapacks must be put into world/datapacks folder to function as intended.

Double door opening is disabled in Quark config server side, do not able it client side because will not be able to pass through double doors.

/rtp commands are very powerful, have caution. Set max distance 30 000 blocks.

Be really careful, Portstones are one-way teleporters, choose destination wisely unless you have planes, mounts or speed incantations to travel.

 

So, what is in it? Adventure? Mean and strong mobs? Despair? Evil but tameable dragons? Big dungeons? Production automated lines? Massive amounts of construction blocks? well... yes, and much more! Take a look

 

Client-side Modpack areas and content info:

  • Heavy client optimization; general engines overhaul, entity culling, etc.
  • A size of 200 mods, or less. Performance purposes.
  • Just the regular dimensions (but... using Nullscape serverside, this introduces a bug, which creates a weird new end-like dimension, so feel free to delete the mod serverside if you have issues, but it cause inevitable crash if removed, so New World necessary).
  • Client-side necessary dungeon mods.
  • Automation, machines.
  • Expanded crop variety, collectors and lots of new foods.
  • New ores (but not too many).
  • Much more passive, neutral and agressive mobs.
  • 1000's of build blocks, paintigns and deco, as well as slab combining, and more building mechanics.
  • New character leveling options, balanced by tool and weapon skill locks.
  • Client in-game descriptions, ping info.
  • Client's hud cosmetics and info.
  • More weapons and armor options.
  • Vanilla style combat, but, enhanced by dual wielding and faster shield response mods; also, lots of new enchants.
  • Item craft bound chunk claiming and chunk loading.
  • Op storage options, ender item and energy transmission technology.
  • A lot of doors.
  • Transportation means like: minecarts and rails; diy trains, planes, cars, helicopters; tameable creatures like dragons, bears, and more.
  • Bloodmoon and more lunar events.
  • Villager señoritas and other villager and towns implementations.
  • More aquatic life.
  • Items kept at tomb when death occurs.
  • Defense turrets, and other useful tech tools for defending base.
  • Plain upgradeable backpack, just for mobile storage (Curios).
  • Dynamic lighting (Curios).

  • Harder End quest, more eyes.
  • Xaeros world and minimap.
  • Sound reverberation and other fixes.

 Server side build, includes configs for the intended experience:

  • Server-side needed only Dungeons and structures.
  • Heavy server optimization and tweaks; general engines overhaul, redstones server impact improvements, better table calling, network connection, memory usage, etc.
  • Mob AI changes and optimizations, with zombie and Ender Dragon difficulty upgrade.
  • Curios integration.
  • Tab for players dimension info.
  • Guard villagers.
  • Better terrain generation. BOP, BYG, Terralith and Graveyard. Incendium and Nullscape.
  • Login protection.
  • Seasons (with server fix).
  • Sound reverbaration.
  • X-ray denier.
  • Create ore generation is lowered; much less zinc ore impact on diamond rich levels.
  • Waystones tp system, but very restricted in server config. The idea is to encourage server exploration and use of planes by disabling them from personal use; just random fixed places as far away as possible from the spawn.
  • Worldedit for admin map manipulation or other server needs (creative gamemode not encouraged, go mine your stones).
