Basically its vanilla minecraft with simple mods which in my opinion should be vanilla minecraft but isn't. It obtains features such as craftable saddles, gravestones after death, minimap, etc.
But also a few helpful mods with bigger impact on the game like bigger chests, faster furnaces or backpacks with helpful traits and such
Even with these mods it still feels like vanilla minecraft but better
