Optifine is STRONGLY recommended for this pack! Many mods in this modpack rely on Optifine for connected textures, and it will just help in general with performance.
This pack utilizes terrain generation mods such as Terraforged, combined with additional biome mods like BYG to make a world that truly feels alive. There are rotating seasons, animals of all varieties, new villages and heavy expansions on both the End and Nether. Give it a try and see what you'll find! (For best results, I suggest setting your render distance to at least 16!)
