With the Kingfisher modpack, you will become the steward of your own community and settlement! But beware, the world is a harsh place, fraught with danger and discovery alike, growing your community will be a rewarding challenge as the monsters of the world threaten your growing haven.

A Safe Haven

Minecolonies is the star of the show, and where this modpack centers around. Your colonists will depend on you at first, needing your aid as you supply them much needed resources and orders, and keeping them guarded from raiders that threaten your city. However, your colonists will become builders, chefs, warriors, miners, and fishers, slowly growing into a city of their own. You will need to invest your time into the colony, and they will in turn grow into a large self-sufficient community.

Your Settlement, Your Way

Mods like Create, Chipped, Decoration Delight, Effortless Building, and Another Furniture give you many options for creating any design and aesthetic you could ever imagine for your colony and yourself. You can connect your settlement to far off bases with trains and transit networks, embellish your builds with fanciful decorations and builds, and do it all faster and quicker than ever with the new Effortless Building tools. When you're all done, the new furniture can be used to relax, and enjoy the fruits of your village.

A New World

Mods like Better Villages, Oh The Biomes You'll Go, Goblin Traders, RPG Realms, and Underground Villages reinvent much of the Minecraft landscape, injecting it with new life and discoveries. Will you find a lost mine filled with unearthed resources, a grand village with stalwart protectors, or the ruins of lost colonies and settlements that came before? While exploring, you may come across friendly faces, such as strange goblins, trading fishfolk, underground villagers, or even lone mercenaries, ready to aid you... if you can pay the price.

JourneyMap and Nature’s Compass will help you easily navigate the world and keep track of where you've been and yet to go, keeping your own unique journey on track, letting you mark important places, and discover where new and exciting resources may yet be located.

A New You 

Using the well-loved Origins, Origins: Accessibilities, and Origins: Classes let players reinvent their Minecraft experience and tailor their journey to their playstyle. Players can be flying marksmen, or alien clerics, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. This too, translates into the settlement you can steward. Will you construct your city in vast underwater domes, or in the center of the burning nether?

Beware, the Night!

However, even the most stalwart walls can tumble and fall from such mods like Creeper Overhaul and Rotten Creatures, using their Enhanced AI to lay calculated sieges to your structures. These monsters will make you and your colonists rely on each other, your blades and bows constantly protecting your city from these threats. Thankfully, you can use your improved combat skills from the Better Combat mod, supplemented by Tinker's Construct and Old Guns to bring the pain to these new, deadly creatures.

Better Together

Kingfisher is better with friends! Each player can make their own settlement, using Create's Steam n' Rails to build impressive trading networks between each other, to become strong allies. Or forgoing it all to declaring war, and laying siege to each other's lands with fierce barrages of cannonfire.
