KAOS's Immersive Craft

In a medieval land of myth, this modpack aims to provide a mixture of the vanilla feel of minecraft with realistic immersion. Do you have what it takes to survive?

Welcome to Immersive Craft, a more hardcore and realistic take on modded minecraft!

This began as a special little something I was putting together for myself and friends aiming to combine different aspects from other modpacks and games in one ultimate immersive experience. Since then it's turned into something chaotic; so, I figured why not release it for anyone who shares my desire for that ;)

MODS / RESOURCE PACK SUGGESTIONS THAT ARE THIRD PARTY / NOT INCLUDED NATIVELY
(Go Check Out Their Beautiful Work!)

☆ “Better Torches” Resource Pack by Saplistic ☆

☆ “InvMove” Mod by PieKing1215

 QUICK START GUIDE

- Stay in the light! The darkness is brutal and will kill you, so never stay out of the light for too long. Torches and Campfires are of high priority, but be careful as both can burn out if they run out of fuel and all fire will go out in the rain. Craft firestarter, drop 1 wood log + 3 sticks and use the firestarter to make a campfire (WARNING! Dynamic Lights Can Not Save You From The Darkness, Unfortunately)
- Spawns are randomized, so try to set your spawn point with beds or waystones as soon as possible
- Combat is completely reworked with new animations and mechanics that add to the immersion
- Zombies are reworked with new mechanics and more intelligent targeting
- Items drop with a more realistic animation. Right click to pick up items you're looking at or crouch to pick up items in a radius around you
- No unrealistic tree punching! Blocks require their tools for harvesting (except weak blocks like dirt, gravel, etc)
- Look up any recipe in your inventory through JEI
- Crafting Tables, Furnaces, and more interfaces have optional physical placements for extra realism (Sneak-right click to use vanilla interface or disable in “ImmersiveMC” in-game config if you don’t like them)
- Make flint tools first! get flint from gravel, get sticks from twigs on the ground and by breaking tree leaves, hold flint in hand and right click on a hard surface (stone) to smash flint into flint shards, break grass for grass fiber, 3 grass fiber = grass string ("HardRock Tools & Materials" Knives Give More Plant Fiber)
- There are rocks all over the ground, right click to pickup, craft 4 together 2x2 to turn into cobblestone
- Health regeneration is much slower so craft or search for healing items, some are easy to craft, some are not. (campfires also provide regeneration in a radius when lit)
- When you reach level 5, PRESS Y (or aptitudes tab in inventory) and level your skills. Most items & abilities are locked until you level up their respective skills. (Items list their requirements)
- Be careful with temperatures, there are several ways to combat the hot/cold, such as campfires, armors, potions, etc.
- Along with temperature comes a thirst mechanic, drink dirty water with empty hand by crouching and right clicking on water source blocks (Waterskins are highly recommended and water can be purified on campfires)
- The Air Is Thin When Going Too Deep In Caves Or Too High Up The Mountains
- There’s plenty of new biomes and structure/dungeon generation, exploring and finding shelter first would be wise
- There’s a plethora of new blocks and items to use for building; including furniture, bridges, decorations and even plates! So build to your heart's content! <3

 LORE ( Cause Why Not ;) )

You awake and find yourself lost with no memory of anything, the only remainder of your past is a lonely torch. From the information you can gather from your surroundings, you notice you appear to be lost in a land of myth in medieval times. However, most of the mythical creatures appear to be gone and the only remnant of them you find are skeletons of dragons. You wonder what happened to them, did they go extinct? For now, your only goal is to rediscover everything and survive!

 PERFORMANCE RECOMMENDATIONS

This modpack is highly performance intensive!
☆ Realism mods and shaders are by no means easy to run and will require higher end pcs. I do not recommend running this modpack with less than 8 GB of allocated ram! ☆
☆ The shaders included are easier to run than most but are turned off in-game by default, so only enable them if you can run them! ☆
☆ “Distant Horizons” & “Physics” are optional as they are superior realism mods but are very intensive and experimental, only enable them if you can risk running them! ☆

 OPTIONAL RESOURCES

- Brutal Darkness, Immersive Craft, and imc_resources resource packs must be enabled, they are essential for the modpack. (Just keep them at the bottom if you wish to use different ones for the gui)
- Shaders and the rest of the resource packs provided are entirely optional but will add to the realism ;)

 REPORTING ISSUES

- This pack is still fresh and a work in progress. I’m constantly making improvements but some bugs may be out of my hands
- Unfortunately; bugs will be found, as is the way of the modding world

Please report any suggestions and/or bugs you find in the issues tab or directly to me through my twitter: twitter.com/xepicxkaos

 KNOWN ISSUES

- Random Spawns Cause Lag / Slow Respawns
- Bliss Shaders Sometimes Cause Black Screen Bugs With Enhanced Visuals
- "Reimagined" & "Reimagined Fixes" Say They're Incompatible With Sodium/Embeddium; But Still Work As Intended
- Some Leaves May Have Broken Textures If Leaves Quality Is Set To Fast Or Default, Recommended To Keep Leaves On Fancy
- Polymorph Sometimes Breaks ImmersiveMC's Crafting Interface
- "Distant Horizons" May Sometimes Not Load Chunks Correctly Without Shaders
- Physics Mod Breaks Zombie Death Physics With "Blue's Better Zombies" (If You Use Both, It's Recommended To Disable Mob Physics For All Zombies)
- Rain Puts Out Torches & Campfires In Biomes Without Rain (This One Is Strangely Hilarious lol)

 ☆ FUTURE PLANS ☆

- Darkness Affecting Sky Light And Being Affected By Dynamic Lights (If Possible)
- "Better Torches" & Compatibility With "Hardcore Torches" Or "Realistic Torches"
- Light Unlit Torches With Firestarter & Light Campfires With Lit Torches
- Global JEI Bookmarks (Seems To No Longer Be Possible. Workaround 1: Move Bookmarks.ini From Modpack Folder To Your World. Workaround 2: Leave Default World Name And Rename After Your World Has Been Created)
