What is Journey One?

Journey One started off as a mod pack focused on the improvement of the base game and bringing many quality of life improvements. However, this evolved into something more. It evolved into vast sweeping changes to all of the base mechanics such as enchanting, potion crafting, smelting and much more. There are also hundreds of new mobs, dozens of new bosses, hundreds of structures, and much more to explore and discover in your world.

Exploration

While this pack focuses on many aspects of the game such as combat, potions, etc. the main overall focus is that of exploration. AdventureZ adds tons of unique mobs to encounter in every dimension, a new boss, a ride-able dragon, gilded netherite armor, and much more. Amplified Nether makes the nether's generation much more interesting by increasing the height limit. This combined with Oh The Biomes You'll Go Refabricated, Cinderscapes, Incendium, Better Nether, Nether Depths, and YUNG's Better Nether Fortresses make the nether much more unique and interesting with stacked biomes, enhanced structures, and some secrets within the lava oceans. Exploring the new strucutres and fighting the new mobs will be much more interesting in this hellish alien landscape. The aforementioned Oh The Biomes You'll Go Refabricated and Biomes Makeover worktogether to give the overworld the same treatment with making the world more interesting to explore. YUNG's Better series also comes together in its entirity to enhance existing structures in the game such as mineshafts, strongholds, and much more. Deeper and Darker, The Graveyard Biome and Cave Enhancments make their way through as well to enhanced cave exploration. Many other mods in the pack add ores, underground enemies, and cave biomes as well to bring further exploration.

Mobs

New mob additions comes from AdventureZ, BetterNether, BetterEnd, Creeper Overhaul, Critters and Companions, Creatures From The Snow, Duckling, Friends and Foes, Goblin Traders, Malus Phaethusa, Mine Cells, Mimic Mod, Probably Chests, More Axolotl Variants, Naturalist, Nether Depths, Rotten Creatures, Straw Golem Refabricated, The Graveyard, The Bumblezone, Whisperwoods, Ecologics, and Wolves of Other Furs. As you can proabbly tell there is no shortage of new mobs to encounter and discover both hostile and friendly. But what about the normal vanilla mobs? Fear not, they've been enhanced as well with the introduction of AttributeFix, VanillaTweaks, Progressive Bosses, Bad Wither No Cookie - Reloaded, EasierVillagerTrading, Easy Breeding, Animal Troughs, Entity Culling, and many more bring bug fixes, and quality of life changes to almost all vanilla mobs, especially the bosses.

Structures

There are many many more structures added to all dimensions with tons of new mods. I'd like to keep these ones a secret to let you explore and discover these yourself and leave the structures as a surprise since the point of this pack is to explore and discover things about the world aronud you. The structures are plentiful but not so common that the world feels overcrowded and overwhelming.

Miscellaneous

Sound across the board has been improved and changed. The background music in the game will always play as well, and this can be changed in the Infinite Music config. Other mods like AmbientSounds, Armor Sound Tweaks, Drip Sounds, ExtraSounds, and Sound Physics bring new sounds while also improving old ones. Other mods such as Easy Anvils, Easy Breeding, Easy Elytra Take Off, Easy Magic, and Easy Shulker Boxes brings quality of life features and improvements to their respective aspects of the game. Dave's Potioneering vastly overhauls the potion crafting experience and process. Another Furniture Mod, Dark Paintings, and Decorative Blocks give you new ways to decorate and design your builds. There are many more features and mods for you to discover. Go out and explore!

Future Plans

Quests have always been considered however I'm still not sold on the idea of adding them. With that said the FTB mods revolving around quests are in the pack for those who want to add their own. I'd like to keep expanding the possibilities of exploration however with over 300 mods making sure everything works together gets more and more difficult. Updates may be slow but I am working on this pack as often as possible especially with me being in college and working at the same time. Currently Galosphere is the next big mod planned. Most if not all major exploration mods are added so it may also be a matter of waiting for more mods to be releaseed for 1.19.2. I'll try to keep updates going. Thanks for reading, and enjoy!
