The goal of Jethz' Overhaul is to keep the gameplay as close to vanilla as possible, even with an extensive mod list. This modpack aims to provide a fresh, realistic and vanilla+ feeling, ensuring you won't get overwhelmed by mods in your face. It includes numerous quality of life and cosmetic mods, enhancing the experience without straying far from the core Minecraft gameplay you love. Additionally, this modpack enriches the world with expanded exploration opportunities, encouraging you to discover new biomes, mostly underground structures, new dimensions and adventures around every corner. Despite being on version 1.12.2, it feels very modern with the perfect blend of nostalgia.

This pack features several innovative mods, including but not limited to:

- Simple Difficulty (Thirst bar.)
- PrimalCore (A survival mod with focus on early game mechanics & primitive technology.)
- Dynamic Trees (For more realistic trees.)
- Realistic Terrain Generation (Pretty self explanatory.)
- Biomes O' Plenty (For more biomes.)
- AmbientSounds & Medieval Music (For a realistic & medieval vibe.)
- Bloodmoon (A very small chance of a bloodmoon each night, which spawns more mobs than usual.)
- AI Improvements (Better pathfinding, tougher mobs, passive mobs will attack when attacked, etc.)
- FutureMC (A lot of items & features from newer versions of Minecraft, also Aqua Acrobatics which allows for modern swimming mechanics and Village Names for modern villages.)

- Many technical mods such as: Tinker's Construct, Refined Storage, Applied Energetics 2, Mekanism, etc.
- A LOT of Performance mods (Nothirium, Entity Culling, etc.)
- A LOT of Cosmetic mods (Cosmetic Armor, Advancement Plaques, etc.)
- A LOT of Quality of Life mods (AppleSkin, Carry On, Chest Transporter, Cycle Paintings, Dynamic Lights, GraveStone, StepUp, etc.)

To get started:

You will need to craft a flint hatchet & flint pickaxe by mining gravel, grass & leaves. Since wooden and stone tools have been removed you can't cut down trees or mine without these tools.
If you're unsure about a recipe, hover over the item and press R or U and Just Enough Items (JEI) will provide the information you need. (Shift + O to toggle JEI's interface.)

NOTE:

In-Game:
- Trying new foods will eventually grant you additional hearts. (Max 20 extra hearts)
- Breaking torches will extinguish them. You can pick them up by holding Shift and Right-clicking. If you do end up breaking a torch, you'll need to relight it with a flint and steel or by combining it with an already lit torch.
- Regarding your thirst bar, you can drink water by holding Shift and Right-Clicking on a body of water. However, this may give you parasites for 30 seconds. To avoid this, craft glass bottles, fill them with water, and use charcoal filters to purify it. For more information, check out recipes in JEI or refer to the Wiki.

General:
- Avoid updating mods yourself in this modpack, as updates can sometimes cause instability or crashes in the game.
- All configs are already configured by me, but feel free to change values if you don't like something.
- You probably want to change your keybinds in settings (as I've set most of them to "NONE" to avoid conflicts), as well as Essential Mod's settings.
- I have allocated 12 GB of RAM (as my personal CurseForge default setting) for playing this modpack, but it should run good with 6-8 GB as well (You probably don't even need that much, but better be safe than sorry).
