IUNA

IUNA is the modpack of the IunaMC community: Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge, bringing together technology, magic, exploration and plenty of food in a world made for playing together. It was built for the community server, but you can install it and play on your own.

In version 3.4.0 the player gets 290 mods: 258 required and 32 optional, which you pick during installation, plus 2 resource packs and 7 shaders.

About the server: the IUNA server is private and open only to community members. This pack does not grant access to it. If you are already a member, the instructions are in the community channels.

Technology and automation

• Create with Aeronautics, Crafts & Additions, New Age, Deco, Copycats+,   Dragons Plus and Central Kitchen.
• Mekanism (Generators, Additions and Tools), Ender IO, Industrial   Foregoing, Extreme Reactors and Flux Networks.
• Storage and networks: Applied Energistics 2, Refined Storage,   Integrated Dynamics (Terminals, Tunnels and Crafting), Functional   Storage, Storage Drawers, and Sophisticated Storage and   Backpacks.
• RFTools, Pipez, Mystical Agriculture, Botany Pots,   Building Gadgets and SecurityCraft.

Magic

• Creatures and bosses: Alex's Caves, Alex's Mobs, Ice and Fire   (dragons), L_Ender's Cataclysm, Mowzie's Mobs, Creeper Overhaul   and Enderman Overhaul.
• Structures: Integrated Dungeons and Structures, Towns and Towers,   Create: Structures Arise and Twilight Forest Dungeons & Villages. On the   server, world generation also uses Terralith, YUNG's Better mods,   When Dungeons Arise and Dungeons and Taverns.
• Getting around: Waystones, Paragliders, JourneyMap,   Explorer's Compass, Nature's Compass and Lootr (every player gets   their own chest loot).

Combat

Better Combat, Combat Roll, Simply Swords, Apotheosis (with Apothic Attributes, Enchanting and Spawners), PlayerRevive and Corpse.

Food and farming

Farmer's Delight with more than ten addons, including Brazilian Delight, Ocean's, Barbeque's, Veggies, More and Expanded Delight. Also Pam's HarvestCraft 2 (Crops, Trees and Food), Brewin' And Chewin', Farmer's Respite and Aquaculture 2.

Building and decoration

Chipped, Decocraft, Handcrafted, MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod: Refurbished, FramedBlocks, Macaw's Bridges, Supplementaries, Amendments, Quark and Comforts.

Playing together

Simple Voice Chat (proximity voice chat), Emotecraft, Lightman's Currency (money and shops), Easy NPC, Camera Mod, WATERFrAMES (video and image displays), Carry On, Cosmetic Armor, Simple Hats and JourneyMap Teams.

Performance

Sodium, Iris (shaders), ImmediatelyFast, FerriteCore, ModernFix, Lithium and Dynamic FPS.

Shaders and resource packs

Seven shaders come ready in Iris, all off until you pick one: BSL, Complementary Reimagined and Unbound, MakeUp - Ultra Fast, Mellow, Pastel Shaders and Super Duper Vanilla. Resource packs: Fresh Animations (new animations for vanilla mobs) and The Brazilian Localization Project (Portuguese translation for mods that have none).

Scripting

KubeJS with Rhino and MoreJS, for custom recipes, events and content.

Optional mods

The installer asks which ones you want. All of them are checked by default and none is needed to join the server. Among them:

• Visuals: 3D Skin Layers, Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features,   LambDynamicLights, Better Third Person and Entity Culling.
• Sound: AmbientSounds and Sound Physics Remastered.
• Interface: Jade, Just Enough Resources, AppleSkin, Mouse Tweaks, Controlling,   Searchables, Chat Heads and Better Advancements.

On a weaker computer, uncheck the visual and sound mods.

Installation

CurseForge app: click Install on this page, or search for "IUNA" in the Minecraft modpacks tab.

Prism Launcher: Add Instance → CurseForge, search for "IUNA" and pick the version. You can also download the .zip from Files and use Add Instance → Import.

The launcher installs NeoForge and downloads the mods for you. Unlike the Modrinth version, this one includes The Twilight Forest and Mob Grinding Utils.

To update, the safest way is to create a new instance with the new version. If the first number changes (from 3.x to 4.0, for example), the server world is new as well. To keep your worlds, screenshots and settings, copy the saves, screenshots and config folders from the old instance.

Requirements

• Java 21. Modrinth App, CurseForge app and Prism download it for you.
• Memory: we recommend allocating 8 GB of RAM to the game (6 GB   minimum). With shaders or many visual mods, 10 GB. Your computer also needs   spare RAM for the system.
• First launch: with almost 300 mods, the first load takes a few minutes.   That is normal.

Singleplayer

The pack works in local worlds. Mods that run only on the server (world generation, administration and performance) are not installed for players, so a local world generates different terrain and structures from the server.

Versions

The version number follows MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH:

• MAJOR: new world or full reinstall.
• MINOR: a mod was added, removed or updated.
• PATCH: nothing changes for the player (configuration, documentation).
