# Isyrn Standard

**Isyrn Standard** is the recommended lightweight client for the Isyrn Minecraft RPG server.

It is designed to provide the best balance between **performance, stability, visual compatibility and quality-of-life improvements**, while keeping the game close to the vanilla Minecraft experience.

Isyrn Standard is intended for most players and should work well on a wide range of PC configurations.

## What does Isyrn Standard include?

The modpack mainly focuses on:

## Recommended Isyrn experience

Isyrn Standard is recommended for players who want:

- Good and consistent FPS
- Low system impact
- Shader compatibility
- Better support for Isyrn's custom visual assets
- Useful exploration tools
- A clean and stable Minecraft client

The modpack does **not** change the core gameplay or progression of Isyrn.

Important RPG systems such as quests, NPCs, economy, custom items, dungeons, progression and other gameplay mechanics are handled by the server.

## Optional shaders

Iris is included so players can use shaders if they want to improve the visual experience.

Shaders are completely optional and can be disabled at any time for better performance.

No shader pack is required to play on Isyrn.

## Lightweight by design

Isyrn Standard intentionally avoids particularly demanding graphical additions such as:

- Distant Horizons
- Heavy visual effect mods
- Large bundled texture packs
- Unnecessary client-side gameplay modifications

Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features are included primarily to improve compatibility with custom Isyrn visual assets without turning the Standard client into a heavy graphical modpack.

A separate, more visually demanding Isyrn client may be offered later for players with more powerful PCs.

## Server compatibility

Isyrn Standard is designed specifically for the official **Isyrn** server.

Players may still be able to join Isyrn using a compatible vanilla Minecraft client, but **Isyrn Standard is the recommended way to experience the server**, as it provides the intended performance, exploration tools and visual compatibility.
