Welcome to the first modpack we ever created - Isola. Including over 450 mods, our modpack aims to give you an all-round experience for the desires of everyone. It will receive updates, wich will include balancing changes, as well as an optional quest book, guiding you through the mods. Because the quests are not necessary, you are free to play as you like, and if you get stuck, there will most certainly be a quest to help you out. Future balancing changes will ensure you the maximum amount of fun, making the progress neither too overpowered, nor too tedious. If you feel that something is missing or should be different, you can always give feedback and suggest changes on our discord - we want this to be the perfect pack for as many people as possible.
What sets us apart from other modpacks?
1) We based our ques system on FTBQuests, unlike other modpacks, wich mostly use Better Questing. Utilising FTBQuests gives us more possibilities to customize and improve the quest screen to our needs.
2) Our quests organically follow the natural progression of the player. This means, that the player does not need to stick to the quests, but come back at any time and start at the point of progression where he is. This is made possible by not being forced into making things you do not necessarily need to progress, like unnecessary items or forcing you into material choices. The main progression line does not include anything more than you really need - all additional things you find in other quest lines branching off.
3) Quality-of-Life advice, Lifehacks and a shop with custom loot tables ensure you always have variety in your life. One loot table from the shop is very special - being very cheap, it includes over 190 different drops you can get from it, from the most hidden corners of the game. If you´re stuck on ideas, you can get inspiration here, and our QoL quests tell you about useful equipment you might have missed otherwise.
4) Difficulty and Loot: On the one hand, an exciting variety of way more dangerous mobs than usual is tweaked to be difficult, but not annoying, and on the other hand, an extraordinary amount of loot drops from the mobs you kill, making survival more fun and rewarding. But don´t worry - there are more than enough ways to deal with them. We wouldn´t want this pack to be based on mobs only!
5) World Gen & Structures cover the exploration side of the game. You see, there is something for everyone in this pack, but in the unlikely case of something missing, you can always just tell us on our discord server, and we´ll work on it.
6) Community Integration: Because we want as many people as posible to like this pack, we have set up our own discord server where you can chat with us, get support with problems, suggest changes, and give feedback. And much more! We are always open to sugestions to include in our big vision for the future of the pack. In other packs you often don´t get to have a say in what is going to be in updates, wich is why we have a system in place wich lets you suggest additions or changes. Then, other people can upvote or downvote the suggestion, and, depending on how everyone likes it, we will either approve, deny or consider it.
