INFECTED is a zombie survival modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1, inspired by the horror, exploration, and resource-management survival experience of the Resident Evil series.
The world has been devastated by an unknown virus: Variant Z. After years of research, no vaccine has been found to treat this variant. The world has become more dangerous. Humanity has been condemned to extinction, with no way of knowing for certain whether any survivors remain.
Resources are scarce, cities are abandoned, vehicles need fuel, and every encounter with the infected can become a deadly threat. Surviving isn't just about killing zombies: you'll have to manage your resources, explore carefully, and avoid becoming infected.
☣️ Main Mechanics
🧟 The Infection
Zombies can infect you when they attack. If the infection progresses, your survival will be at risk. You will eventually die and turn into a zombie.
💊 The solution? A Golden Apple can cure the infection.
💀 Corpses & Looting
When a player dies, their corpse remains in the world.
⏱️ After 32 hours, the corpse turns into a skeleton.
While the corpse remains in its original state, only its owner can loot it. Once it becomes a skeleton, any player can loot it.
So if you die far from home… you'd better get back before it's too late.
⛽ Vehicles
Fuel is an essential resource for traveling through the world.
In INFECTED, lava works as fuel for vehicles.
Exploration is necessary, but running out of fuel in infected territory could become a death sentence.

Explore a dangerous world filled with infected, even during the day. Carefully manage your resources and your colonies with MineColonies. Survive the blood moons. Prepare yourself to face hordes of zombies.
Survive alone or alongside your friends, because if you fall, someone may be able to revive you.
Remember that each player will have a 5-hour daily playtime limit on the server.
