Description
This is a proof of concept, nothing more.
Right, so, that said, while we can all agree that Immersive Railroading is the best train mod ever made for this block game, it has a certain issue I have never been able to get around. That issue being... the fundamental idea. Immersive Railroading is Immersive in the sense that it takes more from hardcore train simulators and the real world and the current FTB meta than it does from plain old vanilla Minecraft. And I have no real qualms about that, in fact, it is quite an impressive feat, and when you want to play with standard gauge trains, it's a style that really works.
I however, do not.
I grew up playing Traincraft.
When I come to Minecraft, I want Steve and Alex building dumb lil live steam locomotives out of raw wood and pig iron. Does it make sense? Hell no! Does it fit with the scale and vibe of vanilla way more? Hell yeah!
So, what this, not even alpha, maybe prototype pack aims to do is make functional vanilla compatible recipes for Immersive Railroading trains and track.
It lets you make IR trains in a crafting table.
The way its implemented right now is janky and I hate it but y'know whatever, its a trial run.
