Immersive Horror

One of the scariest and most difficult modpacks you'll ever play

Are you afraid of the dark? If you aren't, this modpack will make you wide awake and shaking for weeks. An action-packed and terrifying adventure, with Zombies and Skeletons chasing you left and right, will set you well on your way of being one of the most skillful survivalists. The night is infinite, it will be darker than usual, and a mysterious monster lurks in the dark, waiting to hunt you down...

This modpack will leave you shaking with fright. Be warned.

Also since you can barely see without a light source (Hardcore Darkness), I would say that a Bonus Chest is required, otherwise, you would be running around dying over and over, and it will be really annoying (turning the brightness up to Bright doesn't hurt either). Sometimes the Dynamic Lights mod fails to work, so I will try to fix that in the future. If this does happen to you, either break a block in front of you to update the lighting or type /reload in the chat. Another fair warning about Dynamic Lights is that it does not stop the Grue from attacking you even if you are holding a light source in your hand, another thing which I will try to fix in the future. So even if it's not pitch black for you, the Grue can still spawn. Quickly place down your light source if you see the warning message pop up above your HUD.

Here are a few presets to get you even more terrified:

1.) Make sure Cheats are enabled
2.) Make sure Bonus Chest is turned on
3.) Turn off the weather cycle - /gamerule doWeatherCycle false
4.) Set the weather to Thunder - /weather thunder
5.) Give yourself a Command Block and hide in under a place where you know you won't dig. Make sure you are in Creative Mode before doing the next step - /gamemode creative
6.) Enter the following command:
      effect @a[m=s] minecraft:blindness 999999 0 true
7) Set it to Repeat and Always Active (This is in v.1.12.2 so there is no 'give' in the command)
8) Turn off Command Block Output - /gamerule commandBlockOutput false
9.) Cover up the Command Block you just set up
10.) Go back to where the Bonus Chest is - You'll need it. Set your gamemode to Survival - /gamemode survival
11.) Set the game difficulty to Easy. The game is already quite difficult to beat already but if you feel like you're one of the best at Minecraft Survival you can set the difficulty to Normal or Hard - /difficulty easy
12.) Note that this modpack is intended to be a horror one so be prepared
13.) Play videos number 2, 3, and 4 at the same time in the background (Three different tabs. To 'shrink' them down a little, right-click on the tabs and click 'Pin'. One of them is scary ambience, another heavy breathing sounds and shallow heartbeats, the other a thunderstorm). Set the volume to your desire. This will make the game seem much more terrifying. It would also be a good idea to install YouTube ad blockers and infinite play to stop interruptions. Go to the Chrome Web Store and search these up to install them in your browser. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWww-sCIfPwkcy0R6J08zvusxCDfKnxZu
14.) Install the Skyrim Soundpack. This will make the sounds much more realistic and terrifying. https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/soundpack-skyrim-175/
15.) I wouldn't recommend using shaders as I have a pretty high spec computer now and once I used shaders my FPS lowered to around 28 or so
16.) Enjoy raging. Note that you can have any type of goal but I would recommend beating the EnderDragon first.
17.) I would also recommend using Optifine with this to increase your FPS and performance. There are over 30 mods with this and it may cause issues with gameplay. Also Optifine has Dynamic Lighting in it, so it can stop the Dynamic Lights mod from failing. Dynamic Lighting is going to be crucial for your survival.
