IEV factories
is a tech based modpack focused on engineering, vehicles and survival with some player vs. player aspects. It can be used to make a roleplay server or can be used in a smp server, yet players can still use it in single player.
Immersive engineering allows players to build machines for the creation of tools, materials and fluids. Although most machines require steel to make; therefore, players need to obtain a blast furnace before they can build most machines. players can make the "engineer's handbook" by placing a book and lever in the crafting grid. The addons for this mod add more machines for either power generation or the creation of items as well as decorative blocks. The complimentary mods are "Advanced chimneys", "Pollution of the realms" and "Large ore deposits". With "Large ore deposits" and "Pollution of the realms" chambers of natural gas can form and explode if there is a flame nearby. "Advanced chimneys" moves the pollution from the machines as well as furnaces.
(Note: If pollution levels become to great players will begin receiving debuffs and/or damage. The pollution may also cause events such as acid rain which can damage crops and entities, so players should build their factory away from their house.)
Immersive vehicles adds new modes of transportation in the form of cars, trucks, boats, planes and helicopters; however these vehicles require materials and fuel from immersive engineering. Players will need to make different workstations for the individual components. The addons included adds even more vehicles as well as decorative blocks and structures. The vehicles may have doors, windows, hoods and trucks that open and close, as well as working head lights, tail lights, turn signals and sirens. The complimentary mod is "Fureniku's Roads" which adds blocks and decoration to make roadways more appealing as well as being safer to traverse.
(Note: Vehicle components can be destroyed as well as the vehicles themselves. some vehicles are not finished and will cause lag if spawned and used.)
Immersive railroading adds yet another mode of transport in the state of trains, to construct them players must create the rolling stock machines using a similar mechanism to immersive engineering. There are different train and train car types being steam and diesel for the train engines themselves and passenger, tanker, log, storage and animal train cars. Which can be loaded and unloaded using augments. The addons add more trains and train cars.
(Note: Diesel trains use diesel from immersive engineering. Trains take quite a long time to warm before they can be used, also some train cars do not yet work and should only be used as décor.)
Pam's harvestcraft adds many new foods and drinks for players to make and enjoy. Some foods use base-game ingredients where others use ingredients added by the mod and its addons, the addons add even more food and drinks to make. The complimentary mod is "Appleskin" this mod shows the amount of hunger or saturation the food will fill when consumed.
(Note: Some foods refill less hunger then usual)
Tough as nails adds a new body temperature mechanic to the game in that if players become too hot or too cold they begin to take damage. Body temperature will be raised in warn environments or next to an block to produces heat, such as a campfire. The opposite is also true, body temperature can be reduced in cold environments or in close proximity to a block that removes heat. The addons allow for food to be cook on a campfire by using a fire spit as well as letting some drinks from Pam's harvestcraft to increase or decrease body temperature. The complimentary mod is "First aid" this mod changes how health and healing work in-game; such as localized damage meaning if the players arm is injured only that arm is affected, yet players need to be far more cautious as a single mob can quickly overwhelm them and receiving six points of damage to the torso or four damage points to the head will kill the player regardless of the health of other limbs. Healing now will require plaster or bandages which heal over time beds can also be used to recover small amounts of health. Players can press the "H" key to view the mod tutorial and the wounds they have obtained.
(Note: Drowning only affects the head meaning players have 4 seconds before they drown to death once they have run out of air.)
Serene seasons adds a season mechanic to the game which will influence weather and temperature in the biomes of the world, as well some crops will not grow in certain seasons. Players can hover the mouse cursor over seeds to view what seasons they grow in, if no seasons appear then the seed in question can grow in all seasons. The complimentary mod for this is "Weather, Storms & Tornadoes" weather is no localized so it could be raining in on place but not another. some biomes and seasons may cause more storms to occur in the area, such as during summer and being by the ocean.
(Note: storms can destroy structures as well as pickup blocks, entities and players as well as their vehicles. players can be killed by falling blocks from storms as well as blocks that are in the storm with them. Be very careful of storms!)
There are various other mods that aim to make some aspects of the mod easier or more difficult, as well as boosting preference or by adding a new gameplay mechanic or decoration.
Anyways, Thank you for downloading the modpack and I hope you enjoy it. As always you can contact me if you find conflictions with some mods or if you wish to recommend a mod to be added; although updates may not be frequent as I am soon leaving for my occupation yet I will still attempt to update the modpack.(DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY VERSION OF IEV NOT ON CURSEFORGE) BYE!
