Leave Whale Island behind. Set sail for Dolle Harbour. Begin your own Hunter story!

Your adventure starts at Gon's house on Whale Island. Explore the village, gather your supplies and make your way to the harbour, where you'll board a ship bound for Dolle Harbour — where your journey truly begins!

From there, follow the woodland paths into the world of Nen Craft's Hunter x Hunter-inspired storyline. Meet familiar characters, face unexpected trials and find your way towards the Hunter Exam. As your adventure unfolds, explore Nen Craft's Nen progression and discover what kind of Hunter you'll become.

0.3.1 — Glitches fixed

• Retry after sleeping: the exam failure wait is reduced from seven days to the next Minecraft morning, and sleeping now counts.
• Restaurant exit: a lever appears inside the iron door after a failed examinee returns, so players can leave the back room.
• B100 waiting room: added torches to remove dark spawning spots for normal hostile mobs.
• Ground beneath the gate: filled the missing strip after the first running test with grass blocks over dirt, removing the hole to the void.
• Walk through the gate: the fence/barrier now opens during the existing exam countdown. The countdown length and progression rules stay unchanged.

These fixes also work in existing worlds with the updated add-on; you do not need to start your adventure again.

An adventure waiting to be explored

• A home on Whale Island: begin at Gon's house in Survival on Easy, with a village and harbour to explore.
• Set sail for Dolle Harbour: board the island's ship and arrive in a harbour town with furnished houses and loot to discover.
• Follow Nen Craft's story: seek out Kiriko's cabin, take on its story trials and continue onwards to Zaban City.
• Your first supplies: begin with Kiriko's map and the Hunter Exam Application handbook to guide your first steps.
• A gift before you leave: check Gon's upstairs bedroom chest for Hunter's Running Shoes! These green boots give you extra movement speed while worn. You can also craft a pair using leather boots, sugar and an emerald.
• Find your own way: explore with Xaero's Minimap and World Map as you travel beyond the island.

How to play

Install version 0.3.1 through CurseForge, launch Minecraft and choose Singleplayer > Your Hunter Journey.

Requires Minecraft Java 1.21.1 / Forge 52.1.20. The adventure world and its datapacks are included. Keep the included Hunter's Journey Kiriko Story Fix add-on enabled. Select the included world to experience the custom adventure; newly generated worlds do not contain these builds or datapacks.

Already playing? Keep your world

Back up your save and close Minecraft before updating. Do not replace your existing world with the fresh starter world from the download.

To install just the fixes, extract the 0.3.1 ZIP and open your existing CurseForge profile folder. Remove the older hunter-journey-kiriko-story-fix JAR from mods, then copy hunter-journey-kiriko-story-fix-1.0.5.jar from the ZIP's overrides/mods folder into it. Keep only one version of this add-on. Relaunch and continue your existing world.

Alternatively, import the full update into a separate CurseForge profile and transfer a backed-up copy of your existing world.
