HorizonMP Client

HorizonMP Client is a lightweight Fabric client for players who want better performance, more view distance and a cleaner look — without changing how Minecraft actually plays.

It’s made for multiplayer.
It’s 100% client-side.
And it works on pretty much any server.

This pack doesn’t try to reinvent Minecraft. It simply improves what’s already there.

What this pack focuses on

The main idea behind HorizonMP Client is balance.

You get:

noticeably smoother performance
much larger visible landscapes using Distant Horizons
subtle visual improvements that still feel vanilla

But nothing that changes gameplay, progression or balance.

If you’ve ever thought “I just want Minecraft to run better and look a bit nicer”, this pack is for you.

About shaders (important)

HorizonMP Client can be played with or without shaders.

Shaders are optional.

With shaders enabled, you get softer lighting, better atmosphere and a more cinematic look.
Without shaders, you get significantly higher FPS, especially on weaker or older systems.

The modpack is fully usable without shaders, and performance improves noticeably when they are disabled.
This is intentional — not a fallback.

If your PC struggles, just turn shaders off and keep all other benefits.

Performance and optimization

The client uses a small, carefully chosen set of Fabric performance mods such as Sodium, Lithium and FerriteCore.

The goal is not maximum visuals at all costs, but stable FPS, especially in:

forests
villages
multiplayer hubs
long play sessions

Dynamic FPS, entity culling and memory optimizations help reduce unnecessary load in the background.

This pack is designed to stay responsive, even on mid-range hardware.

View distance and exploration

With Distant Horizons, you can see landscapes far beyond vanilla render distance.

Mountains, biomes and terrain stay visible in the distance without loading full chunks, which keeps performance stable while still giving a sense of scale.

It’s especially noticeable when traveling, flying or just standing on a hill and looking around.

Quality of life additions

All QoL features are small, optional and multiplayer-safe:

Smooth zoom on C
Gamma toggle on G for darker areas
Cleaner HUD layout
Reduced visual clutter (rain, fire overlay, particles)
Minor visual tweaks that stay close to vanilla

Nothing here gives you an unfair advantage or breaks immersion.

Multiplayer compatibility

This modpack is:

fully client-side
safe for multiplayer
usable on vanilla, Paper, Spigot and modded servers

No server installation required.
No gameplay changes.
No conflicts with server rules.

What this pack is not

This is not:

a content modpack
a tech or magic pack
an RPG or quest-based experience
an OptiFine replacement clone

It’s simply a clean client upgrade.
