Heroes and Monsters is a relatively light pack for Minecraft 1.7.10.
It endeavors to create an engaging PvE experience where the player can encounter various challenges and creatures of many kinds without getting a little too crazy. Mods such as EvilCraft, Reliquary, Tinkers' Construct and so on will enable an interested player to amass myriad armaments and artifacts. Dungeons that populate the world courtesy of Better Dungeons, Roguelike Dungeons, and Battle Towers will present unique challenges to players who seek to best the hostile forces that inhabit them. The world's landscape is altered aesthetically by mods such as ExtraBiomes XL and Natura, and new creatures have also been introduced as a part of mods like Mowzie's Mobs and Menagerie. Building and decorative mods such as Chisel, Carpenter's Blocks, Bibliocraft, Decocraft, and more work in conjunction to allow the player to build innovative environments to inhabit. The Ambience mod features an original soundtrack by the modpack author to accompany your ventures should you choose to listen.
If you desire a smaller-scale, less grind-oriented, exploration-driven modpack where you set your own goals and fight on your own terms, then Heroes and Monsters is for you, as it is for me.
