[GT] Gears and Carts is a modpack that is based around Gregtech 5. It uses the unofficial, but approved (by GregoriusT) port of Gregtech to 1.7.10. It also includes Realistic Terrain Generation, Railcraft, Forestry, Pam's Harvestcraft, Applied Energistics 2, OpenComputers, ProjectRed, SGCraft, and a bunch of other tech/nature mods. Unlike other GT 5 packs I've chosen to not include magic mods.

To make things more interesting it also has Hardcore Darkness, Realistic Torches (torches burn out after 3 real life days), Spice of Life (meals need variety), and Souls mod (on death an angry soul holds your items).

To make things a little easier, I've included some mods that provide a better GUI, help you cook your meals and let you design a nicer base.

To encourage players to tech up with Gregtech, I've made some changes such as disabling Railcraft's Blast Furnace (use GT's Bronze Blast Furnace) and disabling most of the blocks/items in Extra Utilities and OpenBlocks.

If there is enough interest and I have enough time, I'll consider adding HQM/Quests and/or making a server download available.
