Gears & Voltz is a Minecraft modpack that combines Pokémon catching with industrial automation in a high-stakes survival economy.
What's in the pack:
- Cobblemon: Catch, train, and battle Pokémon in a fully 3D open world. Pokémon also serve as your primary resource source, dropping materials like iron nuggets, cobblestone, and more when defeated.
- Create: Build mechanical factories using gears, belts, and steam power. Automate resource processing, craft complex multi-step items, and eventually run a fully self-sustaining industrial operation.
- Regions Unexplored: Explore a massive variety of handcrafted biomes, giving the world a rich backdrop to build and adventure in.
How it plays:
Traditional mining is heavily restricted. Ores don't drop from blocks, and trees only yield crafting fragments. Instead, you progress by hunting Pokémon for materials, hand-processing scraps into usable resources, and eventually automating everything with Create machinery. A central cloud-themed spawn hub serves as the server's economy hub, with shops, daily rewards, and crates.
It's a slow-burn survival experience designed for players who enjoy grinding toward automation and building large-scale factories, with Pokémon as the twist that ties it all together.
