This modpack is a deep dive into a desolate, overgrown world where every breath could be your last. The core vision for this project was to create a truly punishing, atmospheric survival experience that focuses on the gritty intersection of tactical gunplay and relentless biological horror.

Inspiration and Vision

The primary inspiration for this pack comes from the legendary survival challenges hosted by Forge Labs. Watching those high-stakes, cinematic stories of survival against insurmountable odds sparked the desire to build a world that feels just as lived-in and dangerous. I wanted to capture that feeling of being a small part of a much larger, decaying world—where the environment itself is as much of an enemy as the creatures lurking within it.

Tactical Combat and Fungal Horror

To achieve the "Hardcore" tag, I’ve centered the gameplay around two heavy-hitting mods:

[TaCZ] Timeless and Classics Zero: This provides the high-fidelity, tactical firearm system necessary for a realistic apocalypse. Every shot counts, and maintenance is key.

Fungal Infection: Spore: This is the heart of the threat. Unlike standard zombies, this infection is a creeping, evolving biohazard that transforms the landscape and the entities within it into something unrecognizable and deadly.

Built for Friends

Survival is a lonely business, but it shouldn't be a solitary one. I designed this specifically to be played with friends, as the difficulty curve practically demands coordination and teamwork. To make this as seamless as possible, I have included the Essentials Mod. This allows you to host your world and invite your friends directly without the need for a dedicated server, ensuring that your squad can drop into the apocalypse at a moment's notice.

Whether you are scavenging for scrap in a rain-slicked rail yard or defending a fortified bunker against a fungal horde, this modpack is designed to test your limits. Gear up, watch your six, and remember: in the fungal apocalypse, death is just the beginning of the infection.
