Seeing your once-vibrant world blanketed by an eternal blizzard is not exactly an ideal situation to wake up to after your lengthy slumber, yet here you are. Only something (or someone) truly powerful could have made such a change to this once-beautiful landscape. Everything is frozen over. Even the deserts and badlands are now frigid wastelands, so you've heard...

"Pitiful. Lifetimes wasted in slumber!"

Your memory seems...hazy. The only thing you can recall is a victorious battle against...something...and then resting it off the day after. Now you're here, in this - quite literally - world frozen in time.

"Let me remind you..."

You wander around the village that you faintly remember watching over, the buildings have not changed after all this time, but the only ones that know who...what...you are now is the guards, having listened to old stories from their ancestors.

"...that your victory wasn't intended..."

A feeling of dread washes over you. You haven't noticed it yet, but something...or someone...has been whispering to you, even before your awakening. Discomfort starts to set in and you look around wearily, sensing that you could be being watched. And it's slowly getting worse...

"...but it was predicted."
"My servants have proved themselves worthy with my own reawakening. Just in time for your return..."

...YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO SURVIVE AS LONG AS YOU CAN,  BEAT THE GAME NORMALLY, AND SLAY THE HORRORS THE PLAGUE YOUR WORLD ALONG THE WAY. HE WILL BE WAITING IN THE FUTURE FOR A ONE-ON-ONE BATTLE WITH YOU ONCE AGAIN....

CREATOR NOTE: This first-ever Modpack of mine focuses on the players' ability to survive dangerous encounters and resource management. Start from rags and work your way up to gear and riches that can help you survive these horrors. Eventually, I plan to add a way to actually defeat and slay Him...but for now, he will always watch you.
