Frontier Protocol is a large progression-focused adventure combining modern firearms, powerful magic, industrial automation, dimensional exploration, settlement building, difficult bosses, and an interconnected quest campaign.

## Progression

The campaign begins with survival, exploration, and basic equipment before opening into firearms, spellcraft, engineering, logistics, settlement construction, dimensional travel, and endgame challenges.

Important machines, weapons, dimensions, and powerful equipment are placed behind quest prerequisites to reduce sequence breaking. Optional mastery objectives provide additional challenges without blocking the main campaign.

## Requirements

- Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1
- Forge 47.4.10
- Java 17
- CurseForge App
- Start with 16 GB of allocated memory and increase only if necessary
- A computer with at least 32 GB of total system memory is recommended

This is a demanding modpack. Loading times and performance will vary depending on hardware, world-generation settings, shaders, and automation complexity.

## Installation

Install the pack through the CurseForge App. Do not manually combine it with an existing profile.

Create a new world when installing a major Frontier Protocol update. Back up important worlds before updating, and do not overwrite a working installation until the new version has been tested successfully.

## Multiplayer

Frontier Protocol is intended to support dedicated multiplayer servers using the matching pack version. Every player must use the same required mod versions as the server.

A separate server package will be provided as an additional file after dedicated-server testing is complete.

Use the project comments to report problems. Please include:

- Pack version
- What you were doing when the issue occurred
- Whether the problem happens repeatedly
- Relevant crash report or `latest.log`
- Any additional mods or configuration changes
