Description
A Create modpack with all the magic mods my heart desires, built to be played with friends. With 440 mods, Thaumcraft on 1.21.1 (reimagined as Thaumaturge, with a new vis system) and airships you arm with magic, everything is kept in the overworld so nobody gets left behind.
Thaumcraft makes its 1.21.1 CurseForge modpack debut here as Thaumaturge. It's only available through its author's Discord, so the pack downloads it (and Botania for 1.21.1) automatically on first launch using mod-director.
Honed world generation with multiple biomes disabled and deleted ensures only the most beautiful world, one that makes it worth exploring with your custom aeronautics ship. Ars Nouveau, Malum, Occultism, Astral Sorcery, Hexalia, Botania and Thaumaturge handle the magic. The more you explore, the closer you get to unlocking creative items through master sets of buddycards.
Speaking of buddies, everything is deliberately kept in the overworld. Other-dimension mods have been kept to a minimum, so nobody can wander off and leave the group behind. You build, brew and bicker in the same world, which is great so that those big cannons on the side of your airship won't be just for show. Explore Spectrum's beautiful world of colour and enjoy horizontal progression with mods like Exposure to take cool flicks of 10/10 benches. Comes pre-packaged with Essential and its Patcher.
In the early game, start automating with Create and pick a magic path to walk down, plus Occultism because that demonic ME system is super useful. Or just put a massive balloon on your first house and go exploring for the perfect spot.
In the late game, build airships with Create Aeronautics, arm them with Create Big Cannons and Create Radars, and use your magic to make them far stronger than anything a normal factory could produce. Create Forgotten Tech and Thaumaturge give you something to chase once the basics are automated. A lot of effort has gone into making the world explorable, using No Man's Land, Nature's Spirit and Regions Unexplored while carefully picking and choosing which biomes stay and which had to go.
Plenty more horizontal progression mods are included, such as Kaleidoscopic Tavern and Farmer's Delight with its best addons. So if you just want to be a peaceful bartender with blood magic rituals in the basement, go for it!
Quests are included and act as a guide rather than an end goal to complete, so you shouldn't need a wiki open to work out what to do next. Not all quests are completed yet, hence the version not being 1.0. Custom Cobblegen Galore recipes and various other tweaks give the player infinite building materials and some resources using crushers.
Comes packaged with shaders, and has plenty of optimisation mods so the pack runs smoothly despite its size.
Recommended RAM: 8-12GB (Playable at 8, smoother at 12)
