Description

ForgiumMC 1 is a curated kitchen-sink modpack designed to deliver a rich technical and adventure experience without the resource-heavy bloat that slows down servers and client machines. Every mod in this 180-mod collection has been selected and optimized for stability and performance. Main Features
  • Industrial Automation: Build advanced infrastructure and energy networks using major tech mods including Mekanism, Create, Applied Energistics 2, PneumaticCraft, and Extreme Reactors.
  • Colonies and Town Management: Establish and govern your own interactive medieval or industrial city with MineColonies, and train scaling companions using Doggy Talents Next.
  • Exploration and Combat: Discover new biomes from Regions Unexplored, conquer massive fortresses from When Dungeons Arise, and challenge bosses from L_Ender's Cataclysm with an expanded arsenal from Simply Swords.
  • Performance Tuning: Equipped with modern optimization mods like Sodium, Lithium, and ModernFix, the pack runs smoothly with only 4 to 6 GB of allocated RAM.
To get the absolute best performance out of ForgiumMC 1 and drastically reduce memory spikes or stuttering, we highly recommend using optimized Java Garbage Collection arguments (known as Aikar's Flags).

Why use this?

Minecraft's default memory management can sometimes cause sudden lag spikes (garbage collection pauses) when the RAM fills up. These arguments optimize how Java handles and releases unused memory in the background, keeping your gameplay smooth even with many mods loaded.

How to apply them in CurseForge:

  1. Open the CurseForge App.
  2. Click on the Settings cogwheel icon (bottom-left corner).
  3. Go to the Minecraft tab under Game Specific.
  4. Scroll down to the Additional Arguments text box.
  5. Paste the following line of code into the box:

-XX:+UseG1GC -XX:+ParallelRefProcEnabled -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=200 -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:+AlwaysPreTouch -XX:G1NewSizePercent=30 -XX:G1MaxNewSizePercent=40 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=8M -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:G1HeapWastePercent=5 -XX:G1MixedGCCountTarget=4 -XX:InitiatingHeapOccupancyPercent=15 -XX:G1MixedGCLiveThresholdPercent=90 -XX:G1RSetUpdatingPauseTimePercent=5 -XX:SurvivorRatio=32 -XX:+PerfDisableSharedMem -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=1
Please report any bugs or keybind conflicts in the dedicated channel on the Forgium Network Discord server.
