This is essentially a Lite modding experience with seasonal content releases. The current season is not considered 'lite'.
Warning: This pack is probably not for you.
Seasons have a couple Spotlight Mods and various Supplement Mods.Future seasons add new content but also may remove old content.- The pack gets updated sporadically.
- Some seasons will add mods that require new world gen. You may need to start new worlds.
- If you want to experience a few mods at a time then you could consider playing
this packseason 1.
Season 3 is the current season. We are now on Minecraft 1.18.2. The caves and cliffs update will offer enhanced exploration. The world is generated beautifully via Biomes o'plenty and Terralith. This season provides you with started with 4 different technology mods and 3 or 4 magic mods. We've added various dungeons and structures you may find in the wild. One of the mods had added bosses to various locations you might stumble across. And there's a special castle in the sky that's very rare.
Since the launch of season 3, many more mods have been added. In no particular order:
Mowzie's Mobs, Guns without Roses, Meet Your Fight, Minecolonies, computercraft, Immersive Petroleum, Ars Elemental, Too Many Glyphs, Savage Ender dragon, cooking for blockheads, Re-chiseled, rftools utility, super circuit maker
For technology: You can use Create (and several add-on mods), Mekanism, Immersive Engineering, or FTB Industrial Contraptions. We are open to adding Thermal Expansion if someone wants it.
Beyond Earth has been added. Use the technology mods to go to space! The recipes for Beyond Earth have been drastically altered. You will need to advance into most of the tech mods to get into space.
For magic: You can use Botania, Blood Magic, Ars Nouveau, or Forbidden and Arcanus.
You'll find some spooky themes from WhisperWoods, The Graveyard, and the player-death mod Corail Tombstone.
Season 2 jumped the pack to 1.18.2. Season 2 was mostly a failure. It was abandoned.
Season 1 is the previous season. (Modpack versions 1.x.) The Spotlight mod was Botania and Twilight Forest. The supplement mods were EnderStorage, IronChests, Storage Drawers, Compressium, and AquaCulture2.
The idea of season 1 was to learn about Botania and take on the Twilight forest with your new arsenal of mana-enhanced utilities.
Thermal Foundation and Immersive Engineering was present in season 1 only for world gen, as the plan was to unlock the mods next season. However we changed our mind.
Season 4 will almost 100% feature Advent of Ascension as the Spotlight mod. We are looking forward to doing a play through of that mod. It is difficult to create a modpack around that mod because we need to be sure not to undermine or trivialize it.
I've included WorldEdit for when you want to move your base of operation to a newly generated world. You select your area and export it as a sponge schematic. You can read more on their wiki.
