Fantasy Nightmares is a modpack focusing on rough gameplay and nightmarish things. Surviving in this world is no easy task but hopefully you can manage your resources and get through it.

In this modpack, you have to manage a lot of different mechanics, such as temperature or thirst. Build your base, create powerful weapons and survive in this dangerous world, populated by horrifying monsters !

Fantasy Nightmares : Blood Moon aims at giving the player a vast world to explore and many things to do ! You have hours of gameplay to go through and you'll always have something to do ! The progression is one of the main things we focused on while making Fantasy Nightmares : Blood Moon, along side mod compatibilities and immersion.

Wait... I've seen this modpack before

Well yes, you might've ! Fantasy Nightmares : Blood Moon is a complete revamp of Fantasy Nightmares Legacy (https://legacy.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/fantasy-nightmares). This modpack became quite outdated. I've been working on a lot of modpacks since then and I improved a lot in modpack making ! Remaking this modpack (which is my very first) from the ground up while fixing its problems and improving it was pretty important for me. I really hope Fantasy Nightmares : Blood Moon can give a second breath to this modpack that I hold close to my heart !

Tips

Don't spend too much time thinking about how you will survive ; just do it. Once the moon rises, it is already too late to make a base.
Spend your xp wisely and don't upgrade skills you don't need ; each skill has its own purpose.
Attack allows you to use better weapons
Defense allows you to wear better amors
Agility allows you to use useful things such as backpacks or bows
Mining allows you to use better pickaxes
Gathering allows you to use better tools
Farming allows you to use better hoes but also everything that comes with animal breeding
Building allows you to use more complexe blocs such as anvils, enchanting tables and more
Magic allows you to use... Well... Magic stuff
You can't heal naturally ; you should kill Yales to get wool, and then use this wool to craft plaster or bandages. Beds can also heal you !
Dealing with temperature might be hard ; some armors grants you better protection against cold or heat !
Be ready to die a lot.
A safe house is better than a pretty house ! Safety is key !
If you find a bounty board in a village (or craft one) use it to get quests and useful items as a reward !
Don't stay near dragons. Like, really.

What are you planning to add in the future ?

My vision on Fantasy Nightmares has changed quite a lot since Legacy. Now I really want to make the modpack as pleasant as possible. Making it hard WITHOUT being frustrating is our objective. Adding structures and overall content is also pretty important of course, but balancing and good pacing looks much more important now. I would also love to make a French translation for the French players since I speak a fluent French.
