Description

🏝️ Floating Island: Zombie Survival

The world is gone. You're stranded on a floating island above the void. The undead are coming, and every seven days, they grow stronger. How long can you survive?

Floating Island: Zombie Survival is a Minecraft survival experience built around resource management, base building, crafting, and defending against increasingly dangerous zombie hordes. Build your bunker, gather precious materials, improve your equipment, and prepare for the next attack. Every day counts, and standing still is not an option.

🌟 Features at a Glance

  • 🏝️ Floating Island Survival: Start on a custom island surrounded by the endless void.

  • 🧟 Horde Nights: Face zombie hordes every seven in-game days.

  • πŸ“ˆ Escalating Difficulty: Horde stats increase by 5% at each seven-day milestone.

  • 🧱 Progressive Block Breaking: Zombies become increasingly dangerous as their block-breaking abilities advance.

  • 🏰 Build Your Bunker: Construct and reinforce defenses before the next attack.

  • βš’οΈ Resource Management: Make every material count, from basic supplies to valuable equipment.

  • ♻️ Equipment Recycling: Smelt unwanted chestplates in a furnace to recover useful materials.

  • πŸ›‘οΈ Defensive Traps: Progress through defensive options, including wooden stakes, copper spikes, iron barbed wire, and spike traps.

  • πŸ“– Quest Progression: Follow in-game quests to help guide your survival and equipment progression.

  • βš™οΈ Improved First-Launch Setup: Sky Island is selected automatically when creating a world, with useful default settings already configured.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Starting Your World

The Sky Island world type is selected automatically by default.

  1. Create a new world.

  2. Confirm that Sky Island is selected as the world type.

  3. Create your world and prepare to survive!

You shouldn't need to manually hunt through the world-generation settings to find the intended island preset. If you change the world type, make sure you select Sky Island to get the intended survival experience.

🧟 Survive the Horde

The undead won't stay weak forever. As the days pass, the threat grows.

  • Horde Every Seven Days: Prepare for increasingly dangerous attacks.

  • Escalating Stats: Horde stats increase by 5% every seven in-game days.

  • Progressive Block Breaking: Zombie block-breaking capabilities become more dangerous as progression advances.

  • Daily Announcements: Keep track of the passing days and prepare for important milestones.

  • Atmospheric Warnings: Ominous sounds and messages signal important changes in the threat.

The longer you survive, the more dangerous the undead become. A defense that works today might not save you tomorrow.

🏝️ Survive on a Floating Island

Your home is a small island suspended above the void. Space and resources are limited, so every decision matters.

  • Manage your available space and resources carefully.

  • Expand your base and create a defensible stronghold.

  • Explore and gather the materials available to you.

  • Make careful use of every resource you recover.

Every resource counts. Waste too much, and you may not have what you need when the next horde arrives.

🏰 Build and Defend Your Bunker

Your island is your home, and your bunker is your lifeline.

Reinforce your walls, plan your defenses, and prepare for zombies that become increasingly capable of breaking through your fortifications.

Defensive options include wooden stakes, copper spikes, iron barbed wire, and spike traps. Different traps deal different amounts of damage, so experiment with layered defenses and plan around the time you have before the next horde.

A strong bunker is built before the horde arrives, not during the attack.

βš’οΈ Gather Resources and Progress

Scavenge for materials, craft equipment, and turn your limited resources into a sustainable survival base.

Choose carefully what to craft, what to recycle, and what to save for the next attack. Your long-term survival depends on making the most of what you find.

Follow your quest progression to discover useful goals and work toward better equipment and defenses.

πŸŽ’ Loot, Recycle, and Recover

Every encounter can help you prepare for the next one.

  • Collect useful drops from enemies.

  • Improve your equipment as you progress.

  • Recycle unwanted chestplates in a furnace to recover materials.

  • Recover your belongings after death.

♻️ Chestplate Recycling

Unwanted chestplates can be smelted in a regular furnace to recover useful resources:

  • Chainmail Chestplate → Chain

  • Iron Chestplate → Iron Ingot

  • Golden Chestplate → Gold Ingot

  • Diamond Chestplate → Diamond

  • Netherite Chestplate → Netherite Ingot

Each supported chestplate returns one listed material. Recycling quests reward you for smelting the appropriate chestplate, so simply obtaining one does not count as completing the task.

πŸ“– Learn as You Play

FTB Quests provides in-game progression goals to help you work through survival, equipment recycling, and defensive preparations.

Open the quest book with J to view your available quests and track your progress.

🎯 Your Goal

Survive as long as possible.

Build your defenses. Gather resources. Improve your equipment. Prepare for the next horde.

Every seven days, the undead grow stronger. Their stats increase, their ability to break through your defenses advances, and your island becomes harder to protect.

How long can you last before the horde overwhelms you?

Build smart. Gather wisely. Defend your island. Survive the horde!

🧭 Survival Tips

πŸ“¦ Quick Item Storage

Press R to quickly deposit items into chests.

πŸŽ’ Inventory Sorting

Click the middle mouse button to sort your inventory.

♻️ Recycle Your Equipment

Use a regular furnace to smelt supported chestplates and recover useful materials. Each supported chestplate returns one material as listed in the recycling section above.

πŸ›‘οΈ Layer Your Defenses

Wooden stakes and copper spikes can damage zombies as they pass through them. Iron barbed wire and spike traps deal substantially more damage per tick in testing. Combine defenses to slow down and damage the horde before it reaches your bunker.

🧟 Use Zombie Tracking to Your Advantage

Zombies can detect and track you from farther away than you might expect. Use this to your advantage by drawing them toward traps and defensive positions where you're prepared to fight.

πŸ“… Prepare Before Every Seventh Day

Horde stats increase by 5% every seven in-game days. Use the time between milestones to gather materials, reinforce your bunker, improve your equipment, and stockpile supplies.

Never assume your current defenses will be enough for the next horde!
