Do you ever feel that minecraft is not that interesting anymore? That the game is broken? That building is purely cosmetic? And that other modpacks that makes the game more difficult are unfair? (mobs breaking blocks), The game doesn't feel the same? Well, you are not the only one. This modpack is built upon Whitelight's minecraft video "Another Serious Critique of Minecraft", I tried my best to adress ALL the issues present in the game's current state, and that are shown in the video. What you mainly find here is a pretty connected and balanced experience, where survival is very much the focus, you'll NEED to build, and the survival aspects will be amplified, but not in an annoying way. The ENTIRETY of the game's progression is different, changing recipes and other mechanics to better fit the original vision of the game. But it's not the boring Vanilla Plus experience, that doesn't add anything, this modpack adds new biomes, mobs, farming, a new dimension. This makes the game have the old feel back, while still adding new things.

The list below specifies the main vanilla changes:

- SImple foods (e.g., cooked beef) are now nerfed, you'll NEED to cook more complex foods;

- Recipes are now more fair, and play a HUGE role in the game's progression, (e.g., buckets are now more difficult to get, making the player think creatively to solve this problem);

- Sleeping is now more fair, sheep do NOT drop wool, instead, you need shears, plus, a plethora of new monsters have been added, making the first night experience scary again;

- Villages do not exist, you'll need to cure a zombie villager to begin the trading process (that has been fixed as well);

- Blast furnaces and Smokers now are essential to the game's progression, their recipes are now more expensive;

- Furnaces can NOT smelt food, clay, ores (only smelts some of them into nuggets, others simply don't smelt), and some specific things;

- Hardcore darkness and blood moons are now a thing (be prepared);

- Iron tools and equipment are GONE, now copper is the main focus;

- Between copper and diamond you'll have rose gold;

- Diamond tools and equipment require diamond ingots, that in turn require tree diamond shards and a Silver ingot, good luck getting diamond equipment;

- Shields are nerfed, but you can make many more of them;

- Amethyst now has a use;

- F3 does not show coordinates, you'll need a compass to do that;

- Anvils, mending, enchanting, phantoms, fletching tables and all of the inventory system have been FIXED;

- Elytras and The End are now REMOVED;

- Essential Mod is here to make multiplayer easy;

- Structures are more rare (goodbye annoying ruined portals!);

- Kilns, sawmills, seasons, new improved sounds, new particles, simple shops for multiplayer, revamped structures, and more!

TL;DR: This modpack makes you build things creatively by giving you limitations in what you can do, and also changes progression fairly. All of it is built upon Whitelight's "Another Serious Critique of Minecraft".
