π Fish's Big Adventure Pack
Welcome to Fish's Big Adventure Pack!
I made this modpack because I wanted Minecraft to feel like a much bigger adventure instead of just the usual vanilla survival experience. There are 100+ mods packed into this thing, adding new mobs, weapons, dimensions, structures, biomes, bosses, magic, technology, guns, vehicles, horror content, and a whole lot more.
The main goal is pretty simple: give you a ridiculous amount of stuff to discover and mess around with.
You can play normally and explore, build a giant base, go hunting for bosses, get into gunfights, build machines, explore other dimensions, or just wander around and see what you find.
There is a little bit of everything here.
π A Much Bigger Minecraft World
The Overworld has been expanded quite a bit with new biomes, terrain, structures, and places to explore.
Mods like Oh The Biomes We've Gone, Biomes O' Plenty, Distant Lands, and several other world-generation mods add a ton of variety to the world.
You won't be seeing the same forests and plains over and over again.
You'll find new forests, mountains, caves, ruins, structures, cities, and other interesting locations while exploring.
Some areas can be beautiful and peaceful, while others can be pretty dangerous.
And if you like traveling really far from your base, Distant Horizons makes the world feel absolutely massive by letting you see much farther into the distance.
πͺ New Dimensions
There are also quite a few places to go that aren't part of the normal Minecraft world.
The pack includes several mods that add new dimensions and alternate areas to explore, including strange worlds, dungeons, mining areas, space-related content, and other locations.
You'll have reasons to explore things like:
-
π Space and alien environments
-
π Strange alternate dimensions
-
βοΈ Mining dimensions
-
πΎ Ultra Space
-
π Deep Dark-related areas
-
π° Dimensional dungeons
-
π₯ Expanded Nether areas
-
π Expanded End content
Some dimensions are useful for getting resources, while others are more about exploration, fighting, or finding something interesting.
βοΈ Lots of New Weapons
There are way more ways to fight things than just using a diamond sword.
The pack adds new melee weapons, ranged weapons, guns, explosives, magic, and other combat equipment.
You can build your character around whatever kind of combat you enjoy.
Want to run around with a sword and armor?
Go for it.
Want to use a bunch of guns and explosives?
You can do that too.
Want to use magic?
That's an option as well.
And if you really want to, you can mix all of them together.
π« Guns & Modern Combat
One of the bigger parts of the pack is the firearm content.
There are mods based around Timeless and Classics-style weapons, along with a bunch of addons and expansions.
This adds a much larger selection of modern weapons and equipment to Minecraft.
There are things like:
-
Assault rifles
-
Pistols
-
Shotguns
-
Snipers
-
Machine guns
-
Explosives
-
Rockets
-
Ammunition
-
Tactical equipment
-
Weapon attachments
-
Turrets
-
Armed enemies
So if you ever get tired of fighting mobs with a sword, you have some other options.
πͺ Magic
Guns aren't the only powerful thing you can use.
Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks adds a whole magic system with different spells and magical equipment.
You can experiment with different spells and combine magic with your normal weapons and gear.
It's especially fun when you start mixing the different systems from the pack together instead of sticking to one type of equipment.
πΉ New Mobs & Enemies
There are a lot more enemies in this pack than you'll find in normal Minecraft.
You'll run into new monsters, zombie variants, spiders, dangerous creatures, bosses, and other enemies added by the different mods.
There are also mods that make existing enemies more dangerous and add new situations where you have to deal with groups of enemies.
Some of the enemies are pretty normal Minecraft-style creatures.
Others are definitely not.
π Bosses
If you like boss fights, there's plenty to do.
The pack includes boss mods such as L_Ender's Cataclysm, Beyond Bosses, Super Bosses, Brutal Bosses, Bosses Oddities, and others.
There are also changes to some vanilla boss encounters, including the Ender Dragon.
Bosses can have completely different attacks, abilities, health, and fighting styles compared to normal mobs.
Some of them are going to require actual preparation before you fight them.
Don't just walk into a boss arena wearing iron armor and expect things to go well.
π The Nether Is Different
The Nether gets a pretty big expansion too.
With mods like Incendium, Amplified Nether, Eternal Nether, and other Nether additions, there's much more to explore.
There are new areas, terrain, structures, and places to find.
The Nether feels more like an actual adventure location instead of somewhere you visit for a few minutes to grab blaze rods and leave.
π The End Has More to Do
The End has also been expanded with several different mods.
There are new structures, environments, cities, and other content to discover.
Mods such as BetterEnd: New Dawn, End Remastered, Better End Cities, and others add more things to do after reaching the End.
And with things like Savage Ender Dragon, the Ender Dragon fight can be quite a bit more dangerous than you're used to.
βοΈ Technology & Automation
If combat isn't really your thing, there is still a lot to do.
The pack includes technology and automation mods such as Create, Immersive Engineering, and Applied Energistics 2.
You can build machines, factories, automated systems, storage networks, production lines, and all kinds of complicated setups.
You can start with a normal little survival base and eventually turn it into a giant industrial operation.
Create especially gives you a lot of freedom to build your own mechanical contraptions.
βοΈ Aircraft & Transportation
There are also ways to get around without spending your entire life walking.
With Immersive Aircraft and related content, you can build and use aircraft to explore the world from above.
This becomes especially useful once you start traveling to distant locations and exploring the larger world.
πͺοΈ Weather & Disasters
The world isn't always going to sit there and behave itself.
There are mods that add more intense weather and environmental events, including things like tornadoes, thunderstorms, lightning, and other hazards.
Sometimes you'll be exploring normally and suddenly have something else to worry about.
It makes the world feel a little less predictable.
π» Horror & Weird Stuff
I also wanted the pack to have some darker and stranger content.
There are several horror and atmospheric mods included, such as The Afterdark, Liminality: The Backrooms, Mosslorn, Tideworn, Zombie Island, and Warden Abyss.
Some of these add creepy environments, strange creatures, abandoned areas, or completely different experiences from normal Minecraft.
There are also large abandoned locations that are fun to explore without knowing exactly what you're going to find.
ποΈ Abandoned Cities
One of the things I really like about the pack is the larger abandoned locations.
Mosslorn adds a huge overgrown abandoned city, while Tideworn adds a massive flooded city.
These places aren't just little structures that you walk past.
They can feel like their own areas to explore, with buildings, secrets, enemies, and plenty of places to investigate.
π Survival & Quality of Life
I didn't want the pack to be nothing but difficult mods either.
There are quite a few quality-of-life mods included to make normal gameplay easier and more enjoyable.
Some of the useful additions include:
-
πΊοΈ Xaero's Minimap
-
π Xaero's World Map
-
π JEI
-
π Jade
-
π Sophisticated Backpacks
-
π€ Sleeping Bags
-
π AppleSkin
-
π±οΈ Mouse Tweaks
-
ποΈ Simple Voice Chat
-
π¦ Better storage options
-
ποΈ Better animations
-
π€ Improved player animations
-
π‘ Dynamic lighting
-
πΏ Improved leaves
-
π©οΈ Better weather effects
So while there is a lot of new content, you still have the normal Minecraft tools that make navigating everything easier.
π¨ Better Visuals & Animations
There's also a pretty big focus on making Minecraft look and feel better.
The pack includes things like:
-
Fresh Animations
-
Fresh Moves
-
Fresh Animations Extensions
-
Better Animations Collection
-
Not Enough Animations
-
First-person Model
-
Fancy World Animations
-
Ragdoll effects
-
Dynamic lighting
-
Improved leaves
-
Enhanced weather
-
Shader support
The goal isn't to completely change Minecraft's art style, but to make everything feel more alive.
π΅ Sound & Atmosphere
There are also several sound and music improvements throughout the pack.
You'll get more environmental sounds, music, jukebox content, atmospheric effects, and other audio changes.
Things like distant thunder, environmental noises, boss music, and other sounds help make exploring different areas feel more atmospheric.
Headphones are definitely worth using.
πΊοΈ There's No One Way to Play
One of the main things I wanted with this pack was to not force you into one specific playstyle.
You can basically do whatever you want.
βοΈ Become a powerful warrior
π« Build a collection of guns
πͺ Become a mage
βοΈ Build a giant factory
βοΈ Fly around the world
βοΈ Go mining for rare resources
π° Build a massive base
π Explore different dimensions
π Hunt bosses
π§ Fight hordes of enemies
ποΈ Explore abandoned cities
π» Explore the horror content
π Travel across the world
π Or just play normal Minecraft with a ridiculous amount of extra content
There's no specific way you're supposed to play.
Just explore and see what you can find.
π Welcome to Fish's Big Adventure Pack!
This pack is basically my attempt at making Minecraft into one giant adventure sandbox.
There are 100+ mods, tons of new items, weapons, mobs, bosses, structures, dimensions, biomes, machines, magic systems, guns, vehicles, horror content, and quality-of-life improvements.
You might spend one world building a giant factory.
The next world you might be exploring another dimension with a backpack full of weapons.
Or you might spend the entire night getting chased by something you definitely weren't expecting to find.
There's a lot to do, so go explore and have fun.
