Fénix of Humanity is a survival modpack for Minecraft Java 1.20.1 (Forge), focused on Survival / Horror / Exploration.
The modpack is centered around a decaying, dangerous world filled with constant tension. The experience blends exploration, combat, and resource management in a hostile environment where the player must adapt in order to survive.
It is built using 100% public mods from CurseForge and is inspired by the modpack Cursed Walking.
The original concept of hostile survival, a decayed world, and slow progression belongs to its original creators. All included mods belong to their respective authors. I have not created any mods; full credits can be found on each mod’s official CurseForge page.
The world features a post-apocalyptic and horror-driven atmosphere, with abandoned structures, constant threats, and unpredictable events, without completely restricting player progression.
Environmental horror and constant tension are enhanced through Horror Elements and From The Fog. Exploration and combat serve as the main pillars, using The Lost Cities in its pure form, allowing greater city customization, alongside Underground Bunkers. The modpack is playable in singleplayer or co-op, designed for long sessions and long-term progression, supported by mods such as Create.
The environment is designed to feel alive, unsettling, and dangerous, featuring post-apocalyptic structures, underground bunkers, and ruins. Biomes are enhanced and more detailed thanks to Project Vibrant Journeys, while immersive audio is provided by Sound Physics Remastered and Presence Footsteps. Night events and hordes increase tension (The Hordes, Undead Nights, Zombie Awareness), with touches of psychological horror added by From The Fog.
Combat is expanded with Spartan Weaponry, Spartan Shields, and enhanced enemies, alongside firearms and tactical content through TACZ. Smarter and more aggressive AI is introduced via SmartBrainLib and behavior-focused mods. Movement mechanics are improved with ParCool for more dynamic gameplay, while siege events and night attacks force players to plan their defenses carefully.
The modpack aims to maintain challenge without becoming frustrating, featuring seasonal mechanics through Serene Seasons, vertical exploration and improved structures (YUNG’s Better Mineshafts and structure expansions), more convenient inventory management and exploration with Sophisticated Backpacks, vanilla improvements via Quark and Zeta, and smoother farming and harvesting mechanics (Right Click Harvest).
Unlike Cursed Walking, the Nether and the End are enabled, allowing for full game progression
