On your island, you have a tree and water. You can also get seeds with the grass. Simple.
Use your wood to make an oak barrel for dirt to expand the island and start farming animals.
This is a light/small version of my failed mod pack, Day After Day.
The mod pack is intended for use on slower computers when you can't play Sky Factory. This is a light version of that basically.
