Fatebound – v1.4 Changelog

(Backup / Optimization Pass)

⚙️ Performance & Optimization

  • Worldgen Cleanup

    • Removed Oh The Biomes We’ve Gone (kept Terralith, BoP, BYG) to reduce biome duplication & generation conflicts.

    • Cleaned up configs for chunk handling (SmoothChunk, Limited Chunks, Chunk Sending).

  • Chunk Handling Improvements

    • Standardized chunk send/unload rates for smoother multiplayer performance.

    • Tweaked SmoothChunk to reduce save spikes and optimize unload pacing.

    • Adjusted Limited Chunks so offline players’ chunk tickets clear after 30 min.

    • Capped Farsight at 16–20 render distance (no unnecessary overhead if server caps at 16).

  • Utility Mods Configured

    • CrashUtilities adjusted to prevent accidental mass item clears while still protecting against lag from item floods.

    • Memory checker enabled to help detect leaks.

    • FTB Chunks + FTB Ranks updated to provide tiered chunk claiming/force-loading limits for better server balance.

    • Refined Storage capped transfer spikes for steadier TPS.

    • Flux Networks tuned — chunkloading disabled, network limits per player reduced.

    • FTB Ultimine capped at 256 blocks with per-tick limits to prevent veinmine freezes.

  • Entity & Tick Optimizations

    • Verified DoesItTick and DynamicView configs are tuned for stable TPS under load.

    • EntityCulling whitelist refined (boats, Create contraptions, etc).

🔧 Stability / Quality of Life

  • Removed redundant/overlapping datapacks and biome configs from previously disabled mods.

  • Default configs now synced across defaultconfigs to ensure servers & clients use optimized settings out of the box.

  • CrashUtilities warnings adjusted to be clearer and less spammy.

📦 General

  • This update mainly serves as a backup milestone before further fixes (loot duplication & invisible block render issues will be addressed in a future patch).

  • Base mod list remains otherwise unchanged — no new mods added in this build.
