Casual modpack about Farming, Economy, and Town-building

Description for the 1.20.1 version of the pack:

### Farming for Profit

Currently the modpack is very barebones and only contains the, well, bones. Not even shaped into a skeleton yet! But here's what you need to know:

- Farm crops, raise animals, fish, cook, and process the results into something fancier
- Sell your goods for a tidy profit with Admin Shop
- Spend your hard earned money on Ores, which no longer spawn underground
- Progress through Botania and Create for an additional challenge

To Do:
- Add custom structures to encourage more exploration
- Disable many Botania and Create recipes, and have its items and blocks spawn in custom structures instead, tying it to exploration and mid-late game progression
- Tie certain mods, recipes, and collectibles into progression instead of being balanced around the vanilla game
- Patchouli Book to guide players through the modpack

Description for the 1.12 version of the pack:

You've been sent to kickstart a colony in a new land filled to the brim with natural wonders and mysterious secrets... and nothing much else! And yes, that includes ores. But don't worry, you can buy metals from the in-game shop. But without mining, what do you sell to make money?

 

  • Start a farm and grow a variety of crops for every season!
  • Raise animals in a ranch, or maybe you'd like to make a fish farm? Or even become a beekeeper!
  • Create a Vineyard, and brew over 70 different kinds of alcohol! Maybe just craft the juice into jam, or sell the juice as-is!
  • Become a cheesemonger, transforming your milk into cheese!
  • Be a Chef, and cook one of the 500 Harvestcraft dishes that you can sell!

 

But what do you do while you wait for your crops to grow or alcohol to brew? The world is vibrant with a myriad of ancient ruins, many of them custom made containing useful loot and materials needed to start major tech or magic mods. Use the mechanics of those mods to help you earn even more money!

 

Now what do you do with all of the money you earn? Of course, you could buy metal and progress through the various mods, but you're a colonist and you need to actually build a colony! Money can be exchanged for Minecolonies building plans, the only way to obtain them, so you can expand your domain on the land and even have your colonists earn their stay!

 

 

Other Info:

  • No enemy mobs spawn naturally in the overworld (be careful of spawners in ruins however, or just change it to peaceful), so you can build and farm in peace.
  • There's even an in-game guide thanks to Patchouli that seeks to show you how the world works, rather than hold your hand like a quest book would.
  • The modpack's still being updated with new content, so expect changes and new integrations!
  • As you make more money, farming can become easier. Immersive Engineering or Forestry squeezers can get you juice easier, and the Heavy Machinery Mod will make farming easy with tractors!
