Fallout: Project Wasteland

Fallout: Project Wasteland is a lore-driven overhaul modpack inspired by the Fallout universe, reimagining the American Midwest in a post-war setting. From the ruins of Denver to the river settlements outside Memphis, this pack will hopefully give you the best, most immersive, and most true to fallout lore experience available in Minecraft.

A Reimagined Midwest

The Fallout universe is very iffy on its lore in the Midwest. Most of Fallout: Tactics, the only game which expands on the lore in a significant way, isnt considererd canon and is usually cherry picked from for desireable details. We're following that formila, taking what we want, while throwing away the rest.

We are, however, fully taking into account the Lore from Fallout 1, 2, 3, 4, 76, New Vegas, and the TV Show. Fallout: Project Wasteland takes place in 2296, just after the events of Season 2 of the show. We chose this date, because we want it to feel like a world you will recognize when you come across a terminal entry talking about a successful water purification project in the East, or the fall of the Legion in the West. And maybe even possibly how some of those games might have influenced locations or the setting as a whole in Project Wasteland. Namely New Vegas and 76 due to their closer proximity to our map.

Technical Details

Firstly, this server is not finished, and once finished will likely only be playable in its true form on our dedicated server. This server will not be open to just anyone, but feel free to reach out to me on Discord for any inquiries!

The map itself is a 1:88 Scale version of the Midwest, the far corners being Albuquerque and Chicago. Its about 30k blocks from one corner to the other, and 25k blocks wide. This isnt so huge that its impossible to traverse, but a good scaled down feel to get the sense of wilderness while also being able to explore dense and populated cities.

The map likely wont be the most fun to play alone, and a singleplayer world is not our intended way of playing it. The Multiplayer Server we will be hosting will be constantly maintained and supervised, and is more of an SMP feel than anything. You will, however, be able to read all the terminals, speak with the NPCs, find all the same loot, and complete most of the quests as you would on the server.

The Multiplayer server also comes with direct integration into a custom website, which will handle things like the PipBoy, Caps, and the Radio, among other things. These will also not be available on a singleplayer world.

The Website will handle tons of things. It will host minigames you can play on your phone or on your computer that will earn you caps, without being logged into Minecraft.

It will also hold the Radios, have Leaderboards for most activity, most caps, and other things.
