The change of mods has minimal to no impact on load time, and appears to be less of a load on the server. It also streamlines the tech power to RF only, reduces the amount of redundant ores (no more 3 types of iron, copper, etc) and resolves some minor issues with existing mods. Also, the world is a bit more interesting to explore.
