Overview

This is a modpack that aims to take a more grounded approach to combat and enemies added into minecraft.

Instead of adding as much content as possible, adding a ton of variety of weapons and magic mods, FalchionMC focuses on vanilla-like progression, familiar weapon tiers alongside a skill tree, which levels up through natural play.

Skill Tree

Levels are obtained through 3 categories, combat, defense, endurance

Combat levels are obtained via kills, executions, or innate skill usage (Epic Fight)

Defense is leveled up by blocking, parrying, and successfully dodging attacks

Endurance is leveled up simply by traveling.

Custom Weapons

There are 19 custom weapons in the modpack, each with a different moveset. They each go from wooden, to starite tier (Final tier above netherite)

Weapon Types

Currently, there are 4 weapon types, blunt, slash, pierce, chop

Different enemies in the pack have different resistances/vulnerabilities to these wounding types.

This makes it so your weapon choice matters. A normal sword won't cut through plate armor with very much effectiveness.

Stamina system

Stamina is a bit reworked.

• Swings cost stamina
• Holding block linearly drains stamina
• Stamina drain is calculated by how strong the attack is
• When you get hit, and your stamina is 0, your weapon gets disarmed

No inventory loss

Enemies are no joke, and disarms can put you in a pretty precarious position, so many deaths are expected, and after deliberation, I decided inventory drop on death wouldn't be very fun.
