This mod pack makes use of the Tribes mode for its teams an alliance control. Tribes has a No-mans land from Z:0 to Z:+/-500 basically a 1000 block area north or south of the equator where normal play can take place. As your tribe gains more people you can choose to operate in a Hemisphere North or South of the No-mans land. In the hemisphere your tribe does not control you can not break blocks or interact with any items etc... This keeps much of the play to the no-mans land at first but for mid game when your alliance picks a hemisphere it allows for Mining to be setup and used in those territories more safely. The tribes mod also adds potion effects to all tribe members, there are positive and  negative effect.  

 

Other mods in this pack like the security mod adds elements of spy craft and warfare like minefields, security cameras, chests with pass codes, and the ability to make blocks unbreakable with specific permissions. So you can make bases that enemy teams can not get into. Mr Crayfish's Guns mod is also in this pack giving players the ability to make silenced pistols, and Sniper rifles.

 

Cyclic was added to allow for some automation of common actions, farming and other mundane tasks, Ice and Fire is in here to add some of the harder monsters, I spread out the dragons pretty wide in the configurations, so they should not be too distracting. With Village Guards, Way stones, and other quality of life mods this pack should create an atmosphere of play dedicated to Factions and PvP.

 

Use the quests and the store to advance your tribe faster.

Hunt other players for bigger rewards.

Build  guns, Claim territory, after a player kill you can capture enemy territories.

 

 

Minimum Memory Requirements: 3072 MB

 

 

Building the server

After much playing and work we discovered the default configs folder and now there should be no need to copy or move any config files when building a server.

 

We recommend that the admin pregen a 100 x 100chunk area around the initial spawn to help with game performance, same in the nether.

 

The performant mod is installed and has helped decrease tick times greatly.

 

The InControl mod has been configured to work with heavy mobs, mostly in the aquaculture mod, if you need to make adjustments the spawn.json file has examples that you can copy.

 

the only thing left to do is change the journey map admin settings for the server to not show players on the map. Look in the journeyMap Admin Settings when you sign on to the game as an OP

 

 

         Default settings set the tribes mod to allow only 4 tribe's

  • when a tribe gets more members they are allowed to claim more chunks
  • Also changes the number of positive and negative effects as tribe's get large
  • We have made the NoMans land X: +/- 3500 so the northern and southern hemispheres are Far north and south
  • If you would like to adjust the tribes settings for no-mans land etc, edit the file in world/serverconfig/      

 

Added the Building Gadgets Mod. - this mod allows you to pull structures from the  https://www.reddit.com/r/9x9/ site and paste them into your worlds with the Building gadgets. A most excellent mod !!!!
