What's new
Fabulosa Didi 1.1.0 — Balance and Compatibility Update
Version 1.1.0 focuses on compatibility, progression balance, multiplayer convenience, visual identity and additional combat content.
Important notice about version 1.0.0
Installing or continuing to use Fabulosa Didi 1.0.0 is not recommended.
Version 1.0.0 included Food Overhaul and its compatibility modules:
- Food Overhaul
- Food Overhaul: Farmer’s Delight
- Food Overhaul: Vanilla Foods
These mods did not work properly with the rest of the food system and caused inconsistent or undesirable food behavior.
They have been completely removed in version 1.1.0.
Players should create a backup before upgrading an existing world.
Removed
Food Overhaul
Removed:
- Food Overhaul
- Food Overhaul: Farmer’s Delight
- Food Overhaul: Vanilla Foods
Food progression is now handled primarily by:
- Farmer’s Delight
- Cooking for Blockheads
- Spice of Fabric
- AppleSkin
- Farmer’s Cutting: Promenade
This provides a more predictable food system while still encouraging players to prepare and eat a wider variety of meals.
Other removals
- Removed Cut Through because the combat system already provides similar functionality by default.
- Removed the disabled Collapsible Groups file because it caused issues with hiding JEI in newer versions.
- Removed unnecessary disabled configuration-related files.
- Removed or replaced redundant additions that were no longer needed.
- Removed incompatible or unstable components found during post-release testing.
Added
Combat and multiplayer improvements
- Chat Heads
- FTB Teams
- Teams Friendly Fire
- Mob Lassos
- Spiky Spikes
These additions improve multiplayer identification, team management, cooperative combat and creature transportation.
Enchanting and interface improvements
- Enchanting Infuser
- Controlling
- Searchables
- Cherished Worlds
Enchanting Infuser provides an alternative enchanting interface, while Controlling and Searchables improve keybind management and configuration navigation.
Cherished Worlds helps prevent important worlds from being accidentally deleted.
Building and decoration
- Stoneworks
Stoneworks expands the available stone building variants and provides additional decorative options without introducing a large world-generation system.
Updated
Updated several mods and important dependencies, including:
- Better Combat
- Fabric API
- Fabric Language Kotlin
- Farmer’s Delight
- JEI
- Lootr
- Cupboard
- Xaero’s World Map
These updates include compatibility fixes, dependency updates and general improvements.
GUI and modpack identity changes
The main menu interface was updated to better identify the modpack and properly credit its original foundation.
Changes include:
- Updated the main menu branding to display the Fabulosa Didi name.
- Added a visible notice stating that Fabulosa Didi is a fork of Fabulously Optimized.
- Replaced the previous Fabulously Optimized version text shown in the interface.
- Added custom English and Portuguese menu text.
- Improved the project identity while preserving attribution to the original modpack.
The intended branding shown in the interface is:
Fabulosa Didi — Fork of Fabulously Optimized
These changes make it clear that Fabulosa Didi is a customized project built upon the performance-focused foundation of Fabulously Optimized, rather than an official release of the original modpack.
Squat Grow balance changes
Squat Grow was reconfigured to prevent crouching from completely replacing normal farming progression.
Changes:
- Growth chance reduced from 50% to 20%.
- Growth range changed from 3 blocks to 2 blocks.
- Random tick multiplier reduced from 4 to 1.
- The AE2 crystal growth multiplier was reduced from 4 to 2 in the configuration.
- However, Applied Energistics 2 is not available for Fabric on the Minecraft version used by this modpack, so the AE2-related setting currently has no effect.
- Mystical Crops support disabled.
- Adventure Mode activation disabled.
- A hoe is now required to activate the mechanic.
- Hoe enchantments are not required.
- The hoe has a 20% chance of losing 1 durability point when the mechanic activates.
The mechanic remains useful during early gameplay, but now has a small tool cost and a significantly reduced growth rate.
The AE2 option was kept in the configuration because it is part of Squat Grow’s default configuration structure. It does not add AE2 support or affect gameplay in the current version of Fabulosa Didi.
Spice of Fabric changes
Spice of Fabric remains the primary food-variety system after the removal of Food Overhaul.
Its configuration was adjusted to work alongside Farmer’s Delight and the other food additions.
The goal is to encourage players to eat a varied diet without making repeated foods immediately useless or excessively punishing.
Mob Champions balance changes
Champion enemies were rebalanced to make rarity and difficulty progression easier to understand.
Spawn weights
- Normal or common mobs: 500
- Uncommon champions: 15
- Rare champions: 10
- Epic champions: 5
- Legendary champions: 1
Approximate distribution among eligible mobs:
- Normal or common: 94.16%
- Uncommon: 2.82%
- Rare: 1.88%
- Epic: 0.94%
- Legendary: 0.19%
Approximately one out of every seventeen eligible mobs may become a champion.
Legendary champions remain extremely uncommon, appearing approximately once for every 531 eligible mobs.
Difficulty progression
Champion difficulty now scales by rarity:
- Uncommon: difficulty 2
- Rare: difficulty 4
- Epic: difficulty 6
- Legendary: difficulty 8
Previously, all champion ranks used the same difficulty value.
This change makes uncommon encounters more appropriate for early gameplay while allowing epic and legendary champions to remain dangerous.
Spawn notifications
Champion spawn notifications were restricted to reduce chat spam.
- Only legendary champions trigger a spawn notification.
- The notification is only sent to players within 32 blocks of the champion.
- Uncommon, rare and epic champions no longer trigger spawn messages.
- Fireworks on death remain restricted to legendary champions.
General improvements
- Improved configuration descriptions in English.
- Added documentation comments explaining custom balance changes.
- Improved compatibility between the food, combat and accessory systems.
- Continued cleaning up redundant or inactive files.
- Updated the GUI to clearly identify Fabulosa Didi as a fork of Fabulously Optimized.
- Preserved the lightweight optimization foundation inherited from Fabulously Optimized.
- Maintained compatibility with multiplayer worlds and lower-end computers.
