Exploration and Fantasy 3.0 (Post Story Conclusion Update).zip
What's new
* So we've reached what's practically the end of Exploration and Fantasy's story telling! I hope you didn't grow too tired of the Skeleton King being
mentioned in like...every update, because he became the main focus of the story, strangely enough serving as both a protagonist and antagonist role of sorts.
His strength and likewise the strength of his followers will no longer grow, reaching their proper conclusions (unless it's for balancing reasons of course).
The new harmony of the land has finally balanced out, and will likely stay this way for the foreseeable future. You may be wondering what was happening with
the Hierophant though as that definitely seemed like a plot point that was meant to go somewhere. In the end, because he came from a different world
entirely, his body couldn't become acclimated in time to rise to power and was equally held back by the world at large, settling for some mergers with the
Skeleton King in order to try and achieve something. But alas, he simply arrived at the worst time possible, being kept in check by every force imaginable
while the strongest that he could work with had to settle for his own purpose in the world as well. And with that, such is the two of their fates.
*** IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT I ADDED A NEW MOD TO HAVE CUSTOM MUSIC DISCS IN THE GAME BUT AFTER SOME EXTENSIVE SEARCHING, I'VE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE
PERSON WHO MADE THE MOD USED AI IN ITS PRODUCTION, SO I'M NUKING ALL THE UPDATES THAT CAME OUT PAST 3.0 AND INCLUDING THEIR CHANGES IN THIS UPDATE! I
APOLOGIZE FOR RE-UPLOADING THIS UPDATE LIKE 3 TIMES, BUT I REFUSE TO HAVE AI IN MY MODPACK PERIOD. THIS UPDATE NOW INCLUDES CHANGES FROM 3.1 AND THE
UNRELEASED 3.2 UPDATE.
- Removed the upcoming Custom Music Discs and Totem Nerfs mods. Look further below for more information on both.
- Going from this update further, more vetting processes will be done to ensure that no AI will be included in this modpack. I would love to continue to use
the custom music discs mod, but the creator seems to have a history of using AI when I checked their profile on Steam when it came to the games they were
making. Also, like...the super obvious AI generated profile picture, which was throwing me off despite the fact the mod for the most part seemed to have been
made with Maven, a Java tool that has existed for over a decade. Still, they tried their best trying to make it look completely legit.
- Added a list for where every music disc in the game is located.
- Static from Metallurgy is now disabled, but for a rather unique reason compared to the other effects. I'm straight up sure it's not functional, and there
isn't any information that's super useful online that points to what the energy produced by this effect that's transferred between your items and armor does.
- The Metallurgy Wiki item has been disabled.
- The Base's Wrench item has been disabled.
- Contrary to the text Bepsi had beforehand, it's now been removed from the game, disabled by Game Stages and removed from the loot tables of all available
chests from the Aurorian it was in. Though you won't be able to see it, the English text description for Bepsi was also changed to "Removed."
- The spawn weight of Silk Berry Jam and Enchanted Books in the Urns dropped by the Spider Mother were swapped, the jam going from 25 to 15 and the books
going from 15 to 25 to make the chance of getting screwed over by the urns less common.
- The books you can get from the highest level of the Moon Temple have been buffed from minimum level 10 books and level 20 books at max to minimum level 15
books and maximum level 30. This change was made to more closely mimic the levels of enchants on the items you can find at the highest level, with their
minimum being level 20 enchants and max 30. Note this is for the chest that spawns in when you kill the Moon Queen.
- The maximum amount of books you can obtain from the Moon Queen's chest has been increased from 2 to 3.
- Lockpicks and Orbs of Absorption can no longer be found in the Runestone Dungeon.
- Strange Meat can no longer be found in the Darkstone Dungeon.
- Across the board, Charms of Life have been removed from every loot table in the Twilight Forest and Charms of Life 1 have been disabled. The only way to
get a Charm of Life 2 now is through the Final Boss Kobold, HOWEVER, he no longer drops his Charm of Keeping.
- There's now an extra roll to get the Mazebreaker pickaxe in the Labyrinths.
- Evokers no longer drop Charms of Keeping 1. This change was made a while ago before the Magic Map was added as a small extra incentive for those who
actually were going to go out of their way to find a Woodland Mansion without a structure locator. Bless the soul of anyone who actually did that.
* I was also going to nerf Totems of Undying, but the mod I found for it used AI in their workflow, so I removed it from the modpack. Also, as I was looking
into it online, most people seem to not like the idea of Totems being nerfed. I hold the belief they're overpowered, but I guess it is offset by the fact
that Woodland Mansions are so far out, they put you on half a heart initially, you have to hold them in your offhand and the only other ways to get them in
this pack aside from Evokers are the Final Boss Kobold (technically) and the Skeleton King, so like...I guess it's fine to leave them as is?
- The Glass Sword is now fully disabled, being removed from the Aurora Palace's loot table altogether.
{3.1 and 3.2 update changes!}
- Restoration and Inclusions are being brought back from The Land's Balance update nerfs.
- A number of Metallurgy items are being tweaked in the following ways;
- - The reach distance of Quicksilver has been removed entirely, but the bonus movement speed on the armor and tools has been increased. The armor's is 0.03
and the tools 0.04. The attack speed of all Quicksilver tools and weapons has been slightly increased.
- - The Haderoth chestplate's damage reduction is being increased from 5 to 7.
- - The reach distance of Etherium is being increased from 1 to 2.
- - The reach distance of Desichalkos is being increased from 1 to 2.5 and the in-game text description will be changed to reflect this.
- - The negative knockback resistance of Shadow Iron is being removed and buffed to 0.03.
- - The negative knockback resistance of Atlarus has been removed. It now grants bonus movement speed.
- - The armor toughness of Black Steel armor has been buffed from 6.5 to 7. The damage reduction of the Black Steel chestplate has been buffed from 3 to 4
as well. The movement speed reduction of Black Steel is now -0.03.
- - Osmium armor shares the same movement speed reduction of Black Steel.
- Deadshift, Fire Fly High!, Glacial Wonderland, Weeping Blues, and What An Enchanted Time have all had their in-game volume reduced by 80%, though they're
still at normal volume in the playlist.
- The volume multiplier for the custom music of the modpack has been turned down to the minimum that Musify allows, which is 0.01. This option in actuality
doesn't actually do much, but it makes me feel better!
- Although it's not a song, the ambience for the Nether is now being included in the Melomania playlist.
- Speaking of ambience, the End has some now, which is a song unlike the Nether's! Agooddream will now play in the End and will be included in the playlist.
- By funny happenstance, this means Agooddream will actually play during the credits despite the fact that Hopeindreams is meant to be the official credits
song. What a weird turn of events.
- Now that the land has found its true balance, the other dimensions, torn by their past as they still are, try to work in harmony with the Overworld now.
The first instance of this was none other than the bosses taking on the Elemental Eyes, as a way to shield them from any further danger. The second is that
the Twilight Lakes now carry the same winds as the Oceans of the Overworld. After all, they already bear the same sea life, so it was bound to happen in due
time.
- Updated the notes that should be read before playing as some of the information in it was outdated.
- Removed the last section in the Ender Dragon's Boss List text as the new ambience count as "unnatural winds" in the End, not just the Ender Dragon's
theme anymore.
- The crafting recipes of the following items will be disabled;
- - Aurorian Portal Frame Bricks
- - Aurorian Stone
- - Charms Of Life 2
- - Crab Rave
- Following the removal of Crab Rave's crafting recipe, the item is being disabled and all crab related enemies will no longer drop it.
- The music disc locations text file was updated to remove Crab Rave, which speaking of...
* Fun fact, it was actually at a 0.5% drop rate despite the locations text file saying it was 0.1%. Weirdly enough, I don't remember when I made that change.
Or maybe it was always 0.5%? I'm not sure.
- To make up for the loss of the Crab Rave disc, Horseshoe Crabs now drop between 1-3 crab cakes.
{End of 3.1 and 3.2 update changes.}
- To replace the Custom Music Discs mod, the Even Mo' Discs mod has been added! (Not made by AI this time as this mod dates back years ago!) However, it's
been heavily modified to add some songs that I've been wanting as music discs for a while now, the changes are as follows;
- - The Dog disc has been converted into Charredland, a music disc that has a 0.5% chance of dropping from Fire Dragons.
- - The glowing Mine Diamonds parody disc has been converted into Hopeindreams, a music disc that has a 100% drop chance from the Ender Dragon.
- - The Revenge disc has been converted into Aggressioncycle150, a music disc that has a 0.5% chance of dropping from Fire Dragons.
- - The Pigstep disc has been converted into Aggressioncycle130, a music disc that has a 0.5% chance of dropping from Ice Dragons.
- - The regular Mine Diamonds parody disc has been converted into Deergodinst, a music disc that has a 100% drop chance from the Hirschgeist.
- - The Wet Hands disc has been converted into Nosalvation, a music disc that has a 0.4% drop chance from Thralls. This makes Nosalvation the new highest
lower drop chance disc!
- - The C418 Minecraft disc has been converted into the only song that's used both in-game and in the playlist, King's Requiem! Obviously, this drops from
the Skeleton King at a 100% drop chance.
* Have fun with these! I replaced the original mod assets and sprited all the music discs myself. I'm very happy with the Skeleton King's disc in particular.
* Also, the textures for Deer God's Instrumental and Hopeindreams are connected because in the code, the discs are forks of each other. I got very lucky
the color scheme of the disc works for both songs.
- Every music disc from the Music Discs Backport mod has been removed from the loot tables the mod added, meaning you can only get modded discs from their
respective locations now.
- The music disc location file will also include every new disc added by Even Mo'.
- Though you don't have to use them, the text file of the Optifine options I personally use are now being included in the pack.
- I also remapped all the buttons in the normal options so nothing overlaps, these aren't hardset options I personally use all the time, but the text file
is being included in case you want options as more of a clean slate you can tweak than something definitive to play with.
