The Expeditions SMP is a whitelisted modded worldbuilding server with a chill, welcoming community. This modpack is built for Season 2, and it's designed around our three main factions: Imperium, the Order of Praxetheria (Mages), and the Pirates.
Season 1 ended explosively, and Season 2 picks up 50 years later on a brand new custom map, built specifically around the aftermath. Magic is real now, dimensions have opened up, and the world is split between the three factions fighting for control of it.

The Factions

Imperium is the industrial-militant faction — Create mod, building, combat, and medieval politics. They're fighting the Pirates for control of Resource Hubs.

Pirates are the explorer-militant faction — sailing, treasure hunting, general chaos. They're fighting both Imperium and the Mages for Resource Hubs and Aether Portals.

The Order of Praxetheria (Mages) are the alchemist-discoverer faction — fantasy, spellcraft, and progression. They're fighting the Pirates for Aether Portals, and quietly working against Imperium, since industrial progress weakens magic.

You don't have to join a faction, and joining one doesn't lock you out of the others. Factions mostly just add optional extras like exclusive shops and unique mechanics.
